We were a group of eight, and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. A few weeks earlier Iâd looked at the seating options and had chosen a quiet position for us in the newly-extended dining area, which was ideal.The service from the manager and waiting staff was efficient, polite and unobtrusive, the menu choice excellent (one member of our family requires gluten- and dairy-free food) and everyone was very appreciative of the quality and taste of their choices.

My husband and I are regular visitors to The Blenheim. Or were as we will no longer patronise this establishment.Unfortunately the lovely landlords Dale and Tom are no longer there and unfortunately we thought we were in a town pub. The under manager was in leggings not the attire for the front of house at a hotel and she was rather loud. Her language left a lot to be desired when she was overheard speaking to a member of staff (again not suitable for a village hotel). If another customer heard this it doesnât bode well for visitors to the village who may be subjected to bad language.A number of the well liked staff are no longer there which is a pity. Village people are the regulars and like familiar faces.As it is a hotel in a small village we have seen this happen before. We get landlords who we like and relate to and the business booms only to have new tenants installed who are not suitable for it to once again go downhill.On the positive side the food was extremely good.Thank you for the advice with regards to the uniforms, that's been taken on board, as for the loud staff we can only respond by saying we have been trying are best since we were rushed into this site. We have had some really good feed back from the meet and great and we will continue to take on board all advice. We want to be part of the local community and strive to create the perfect atmosphere for all.

Four of us visited for en evening meal in late August 19. Good selection of well kept real ales and a good choice of wines. The beer was served with a thick creamy head; just how I like it. It was "Steak Night" and two of our party opted for steaks, which were described as excellent. The signature dish of Steak & Stilton Pie was on top form, full of tender, succulent meat. Excellent service from Margaret.

Stopped here one damp Saturday to escape the rain, best choice i ever made.Friendly staff always helps and these were ultra friendly happy and looked generally pleased to see me.... sat down i ordered a pot of (a bit weak) this is my only criticism ordered a full English no bacon but extra sausage, it arrived in 15 minutes so cooked to order which is sometimes rare, wow 2 eggs 4 sausages beans mushrooms black pudding toast hash browns, i have to say it was the best breakfast i have had for a long time.All in all one word for food and staff....Superb Thank You

Saturday evening birthday treat for my husband. Warm welcome as usual. This restaurant never disappoints! We had a table for four and we ordered the garlic bread and olives to share as a starter. Then we all ordered steaks one filetto funghi, two filetto Gorgonzola and one more which I canât remember the name of but all the steaks came cooked perfectly to each individualâs liking. The steak was soft and tender. The sauces creamy and rich. The sauces can be separate if requested. The sides of mixed vegetables, sautéed potatoes and salad were delicious. Everyone cleared their plates. We ordered tiramisu for dessert which is home made. My husbands came to the table decorated with a happy birthday message and a candle even though I had not requested it, which was a nice touch. As regulars at this restaurant I can honestly say the food whatever you order is exactly the same quality and presentation on each occasion a clear sign of the high standards expected from the kitchen. Highly recommend a visit here if you would like a quality experience. Wine can be ordered by the glass or bottle and larger is on tap. We really enjoyed the evening.

We enjoyed an amazing meal which really didnât disappoint.From our pre dinner drinks in the cosy bar to leaving our experience was excellent.The tasting menu was so original and so well executed and the staff were lovely.Our daughter is coeliac but this didnât mean she had to miss a thing, many thanks to the very talented chefs.It was an evening to remember!

It was a very pleasant surprise as I really did not know what to expect because we were being served by students.The food was of an excellent standard and the waiting staff were all pleasant and attentive.Al in all they did a cracking job!

A traditional Sunday roast is not the most taxing of dishes but the one served to us at this restaurant was distinctly average. Beef was of ordinary quality, Yorkshire puddings were cold and hard, roast potatoes were spongy and tasteless. Service was no more than adequate and the overriding impression was that the sooner they had served us the sooner we would leave and the next paying customers could be shown in. Overpriced menu both for food and wine.Thank you, Alan, for your review. Iâm sorry to hear you were disappointed by your Sunday lunch. I can only apologise that you did not enjoy your experience with us. I can re-assure you that we only use top quality ingredients like locally sourced sirloin of English beef. I do wonder, did you mention any of this when you dined with us (either when you were checked during your main courses or at the end), as we have no recollection of anyone mentioning anything recently and we would have happily resolved these problems there and then.If you could contact the restaurant and ask to speak to myself (Pascal) I would love to find out when you dined with us and discuss things further.Many thanks,Pascal

First impression here was good - lovely welcome and quaint and clean looking cafe. However, having ordered the 'large' English breakfast I shudder to think how tiny the small one would have been. Nothing special and tea or coffee not included in the price. We ordered the 'breakfast tea' at £1.80 each. We were provided with small tea cups and a pot which on investigation proved to contain a solitary tea bag. The pot provided one small cup of tea each - had we known about the lack of tea we would have ordered a drink seperately in the hope of actually having a bag each. Anyhow, the breakfast was ok, just nothing special. I am loathe to leave negative reviews for small, locally owned places, but I cannot recommend The Shed unless you really aren't at all hungry and thirsty.The pluses are it is clean and friendly; the welcome and service was good - and we only tried the breakfast so the other food might be great.
