Stopped at the Works today with the children who had visited earlier in the week with their grandparents. The food was delicious and we were made to feel very welcome. Three pals of mine took me out for my birthday to this venue. They had kindly organised a 'cocktail masterclass' and dinner after.Straight away Danny the bartender was friendly, warm, welcoming and helpful. For me he made the evening. I learnt a lot at his masterclass about cocktails and how to mix them. He's only 19, but boy has he got charm and pizzazz!! it was a fabulous experience and made a wonderful and unique birthday gift from my friends.The dinner too was good. I had the burger which was really nice, followed by the raspberry cake which was as delicious as my main course. The others had different dishes, but all pronounced their meal to be excellent.For me this is the ideal venue for a lighthearted fun evening with mates. Warm welcome and delicious sandwiches and hot drinks! Dog friendly is an understatement- dog super friendly and catered for fed and fussed! Water and dog biscuits openly available. All the staff were really welcoming to everyone who came in accommodating babies and buggies and I can imagine that this will become a regular hang out now weâve tried it. Keep doing what your doing - itâs great!

Six of us enjoyed some well-prepared and nicely presented dishes at this busy, slightly quirky venue. The young crew worked their socks off to deliver the goodies. Having to order at the bar was a slight drawback but did not detract much from our enjoyment.
