It is such a shame that this beautiful hotel with an elegant dinning room has such mediocre food. All four of our crab meat Ravolo starters were too salty and the brown sauce was not particularly a good match. My pigeon was over cooked and so tough it was inedible. My wifeâs salmon was way too dry probably due to too high heat cooking. We all thought the desserts were very good. My wife and I tried the new nettle with ice cream dessert and it was a real winner. Service was good. Fixed price menus only - 2 course for £26 and 3 course for £35. Two stars for food, four stars for setting and service.

Really loved the food and service- had a 3 course tasting menu that was local, fresh and well paired with wines. Service was friendly and attentive. Nice lighting, and just across the street from Highlands Club and next to the canal. After dinner, we had a nice scotch by the fireplace in the Inn waiting for the rain to slow down- great experience and #1 on our places at Loch Ness!
