I ordered from this Chinese on my caravan trip and was really looking forward to it! The man delivered it to our caravan door what was great. We ordered chips,rice, salt n pepper chicken and curry sauce, everything was good however the curry sauce tasted like it had coffee poured into it. This really ruined my meal and I was gutted about it as I was really looking forward to it

My whole family just love this place, on a weekly basis we stop in when we are in Irvine for rolls filled to the brim with delicious quality fillings at great prices. My daughter adores the fuss the ladies make of her when she comes with her grandparents and truly relishes her treat going to Dandans. This place is a wee gem and we will continue for it to be our first choice when visiting Irvine. The food is amazing but the service makes it perfect. Love this chippy. Good value for money, you get 2 fish instead of 1. Nice chips and crispy batter. We travel from Irvine to come here. Would recommend to everyone. Nice friendly staff and great service.

We ordered chicken pittas (got both mild and hot) and both were delicious! Piri piri chips were fab too. This was miles tastier than your average takeaway and I would certainly return here before I'd go to the better known fried chicken takeaway.

We have just bought a single sausage & a special fish supper & have binned it all-sausage was hard and shrivelled & the special fish was burned to a crisp & it was all obviously reheated, honestly cannot believe how bad it was-now having to make ourselves something to eat. Would not go back there if you paid me!!

This has got to be the best Chinese Take Away in Saltcoats have used Shan Moon for years and never ever had a bad meal, my wife would rather do without having Chinese if Shan Moon is closed. The Salt and Chilli Chips are amazing and are a must for every meal we order.

Been now about 4 times and will go again if im hungry & in the area as im easily pleased.Every time I've been I've got fritters,single fish & single haggis all tasty enough my only criticisms are.....the food has maybe been cooked a little 2 long (If u like really crunchie batter then happy days).This is an old style chippy that still wraps ur food in used newspapers & the lassie uses her fingers grab ur food.The location is good 2 mins away from waterfront,car parks,public toilets,amusements & various other shops.Reasonably priced same kind of prices as most chippys ive been 2.....

Waited just over 35 mins for a single fish & a portion of fritters.When ordered they told me they would have to cook the fish fresh & there was just enough fritters made already for my order, then just before my fish was ready the other server sold my fritters to someone else so when my fish came out they realised there was no fritters so had to cook some more.When I got home & opened the food up i found fritters that were like door stops(nearly an inch thick) & the fish was ....a bit to fishy smelling,FULL of bones,very dry & the batter was rock solid & very dirty from the lack of cleaning out their oil(check pictures). I did eat the fritters(£1.50 portion of 4) even though I dont like them that thick & to be honest they were ok....but the fish(£4.50 for 2)..was disgusting. I even tried eating pieces from each end the from the middle thinking there must be a decent bit somewhere on but no there wasn't...the batter was like eating pork scratchings....crunch crunch

I go on holiday to Sandylands regularly and alway's use Antalya while there. The food is alway's lovely and there chicken tikka meal is the best I've tasted also good value for money.... I would recommend you give Chris and the staff a visit if in the area, you won't be disappointed
