We met friends here on our way to Perrygrove. We called ahead to book a table. We received a wonderfully friendly welcome. Delicious food. All home cooked and a great range. Wine and local beer and cider available. All very reasonably priced. Couldnât recommend more highly.
The aim of the bistro is to produce good quality food, sourced locally, at reasonable prices for the hundreds of users at Bridges, as well as welcoming visitors and tourists.
I regularly visit the Bistro at Bridges Centre Monmouth for breakfast, lunch or just coffee. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The coffee and cakes are delicious, there are lots to choose from and also a daily specials board.I would highly recommend a visit.

There is also accommodation.
Its big leaf tea in transparent teapots and is lovely. Warm big scones with fresh jam and cream. Absolutely gorgeous. If its warm enough, sit outside on ricketty chairs admiring a lovely view. Inside its amazing old gilt furniture and all sorts of unusual things to buy. Slightly weird garden with fairy lights but good plants. Not stayed a night but friends who have loved it. I always try to visit if anywhere near. You can even get a great massage. Its different and wondeful.

We called in after a walk in wye valley. The cake and coffee was superb and the owner had long chat where we put the world to right. A great place which deserves to go from strength to strength thanks to the owner and food she served Thank you so much for your lovely words, it really means a lot. I very much enjoyed our chat and must say its moment like those that make all the hard work so worthwhile. It was an absolute pleasure and I look forward to seeing you next time you're passing through!

Lovely catch up afternoon tea with friends very relaxed and unhurried. Great choice of sandwiches including local ham. Really light scones and good variety of cakes. Great salted caramel profiteroles. Loved the vintage style cups- tea certainly tastes better. All this and dog friendly. Highly recommend.

A busy bistro cafe serving a breakfast menu and all day snacks and specials using local fresh ingredients.
On our journey we decided to call in at Monmouth for breakfast. A bit of research suggested Salt & Pepper might be a good choice. We werenât disappointed. Great breakfast, great coffee, great service-thank you.

Owned by Prae Hamilton The Whole Earth Thai Bistro serves fresh and tasty cafe food by day (think cooked breakfasts, jacket potatoes, coffee and cake) and on Friday and Saturday nights is transformed into a Thai restaurant and takeaway.
Stumbled onto this lovely little cafe.Decided on salad and onion soup, wow beautiful.Lunchtime menu with limited thai content, although by fare the best cafe in Monmouth, recommend to anyone.4star only due to the tap water being served warm!Sometimes it's the little touches that make the difference.
