A beautiful property that had to endure the pandemic effect
Reviewed By 274marshafBali in general is affected badly by the pandemic, and that is visible at this hotel. I'll start with the pros. Pros: + Our sunrise villa was huge and the sunrise was very beautiful. + Helpful staff despite the difficult situation. + Very spacious bedroom, bathroom, and lounge area beside your very own private pool, also with outdoor bathtub that didn't lack privacy. + No buffet, but a la carte breakfast was good complete with fruit, juices, toast everyday. We also got floating breakfast. + We were on our honeymoon so we liked the quietness. Cons: - It's at the very end of small streets, a bit hidden from the main road and gets dark at night. I wouldn't want to ride motorcycle by myself at night. I don't recommend staying here if you go out a lot. - They cut back on facilities because of COVID-19: no shuttle, no cable TV, no netflix, no sandals unless you ask, no welcome fruit. - Apparent signs of low maintenance i.e. alley full of leaves, bath tub was not cleaned when we arrived, some odor when you open the drawer (maybe because of lack of guests) Judging from the reviews here, I think it wasn't as good as what it used to be. But they also had to cut on manpower and maintenance to survive, so it's justified. Hopefully COVID-19 is over soon and Bali comes back alive again :)

A wonderful stay
Reviewed By paulyt1The rooms are amazing. We were upgraded from a one bed pool villa to a three bed, Pure luxury. Staff are wonderful - and very polite. Housekeeping is speedy and efficient We only had breakfast and to be honest the evening meals didn't sound exciting - but there are plenty of good places nearby. Shuttle bus to the beach but it's cheap to get a taxi too

Reviewed By leen2014A very relaxing place for those who need a quiet time. 5 stars hospitality. Recommend to all. Very decent foods served for breakfast lunch and dinner. The unit is clean and well equipped. The pool is superbly nice.

Reviewed By walerijag2021The best villa in bali. We spent two months here. Great staff, beautiful views and sunset. The villas are cleaned twice a week, the pool is always clean. Would recommend everyone to stay at this place.

Nice memory at the start of the pandemic
Reviewed By 874alexaStaying there at the beginning of pandemic. Great staffs, great place, eating while sunbathing after swimming was nice with the view of the GWK statue. I would love to comeback after the pandemic over and book the whole place for my family. Hope they'll survive to have us back one day.

A small but beautiful hotel
Reviewed By xsakIt's a new hotel in Ungasan. Everything looks new and clean of course. Staffs were helpful and nice. Pool is small but enjoyable. I booked pool access room. There are parking spaces for motorbike and a few cars. Didn't try the food though. Quiet and peaceful when I stayed there. Totally recommended if you plan to stay and explore Jimbaran/Uluwatu area.

Reviewed By Fafakim88We only stayed for one night but it was mesmerizing. Facing the huge ocean. Can literally hear the waves. The sunset n sunrise were both awesome! Very very quiet villa. Room service food has very few choices. Had the breakfast. It wasnt that nice at all. Nowhere near restaurants. We ordered food via gojek app. So if u r stayin longer days, u might need to go out of the villa to get some decent food. Villa and pool is nice. Only food is difficult to find.

Reviewed By patoucarFor a 5 star villa the curtains were torn, the maintenance of the villa is not a 5 star standart, the toilets were dirty with pieces of s**t all around the toilet bowl. There is a kitchen but nothing to cook. there is a cleaning service all day but they leave the dirty plates and cup in the kitchen for one entire day. All days we've need to ask for toilet paper, towels… The breakfasst was not done in the villa, was done outside and was very poor, sometimes they forgot one breakfast on three, industrial fruit juice, every time we asked for something, it was not avalaible… fresh fruits were not mature and sometimes passed. The manager, Mr Bagout try to do everything possible, but without money from the owner it is very difficult. On the price it was including one day trip return with the private driver, unfortunelly, we have asked two time the driver but it was not possible to have the car because the driver was not avalaible. The third time, Mr Bagout, the manager drove us to Nusa Dua and we have need to ask a taxi for every others visits in town. We had to ask for the water fountain to be refill and the boy said that he knew that it was empty but forgot to do the job. The last day, the lady in charge of the housekeeping told us that there were two towels missing but the day before they forgot to place those towels in our bathroom, we didn't appreciate this comment, we haven't seen her during the all 10 days and when we left, she came and inspect the villa with a very arrogant comportment, she should control her team before telling the guests that there is some things missing. Mr Bagout trid his best and offer us a barbecue but the dommage was done. Good luck to him it will not be easy to work in those conditions. We have rent the villa for 10 days, never again. Beautiful view. The rooms are big and the bathroom too. TV didn't work very well and after ask to the personal, no action were done.

Rooms are lonely
Reviewed By LittleLottie14Villa Gula is a very small complex in uluwatu which requires you to get taxi or scooter to everywhere but then so does pretty much everywhere in Uluwatu (GOJEK is amazing). The rooms are really beautiful and super cosy! The bed was very soft and all very clean. The staff were also very friendly. The pool area I should mention is very very small. A bit too small that I felt a bit conscious to sunbathe with the reception desk right next to me and also there is only enough room for a couple of beds and chairs. The pool could also do with a little tidy up as 2 tiles were floating on the bottom alongside a plastic bag and a couple of tissues. Other than that it is a lovely little suntrap and there is a great place for lunch a short walk away ‘He’enalu’. Overall very very happy to stay here and a great price.
