The hotel complex "Park-Hotel" is located 15 minutes from the center of Izhevsk in a landscape park. Park-Hotel is a 5-star mini-hotel with 11 spacious rooms ranging from 30 to 90 sq.m. The rooms overlooking the park have everything you need for a business trip and family vacation: a king size bed with orthopedic mattress, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, satellite TV. It offers a restaurant, a swimming pool, a bath complex with a sauna and a hammam, a billiard room. A variety of homemade breakfasts are served at the hotel's restaurant. The peculiarity of the Park-Hotel is its well-groomed park area, classic interiors with Italian furniture made of natural beech. The advantage of the location is clean air and water from an artesian well. Next to the "Park-Hotel" is the largest zoo in Russia, the city park, Museum. M.T. Kalashnikov, Izhevsk pond, shopping center "Talisman", cafes and shops.

Booking was made through its own web site http://www.park-hotel.udmnet.ru/ and was paid on-line at once with corp debit card, I did it as it wasn’t stated in obvious way on web that it’s possible to book without payment, this statement was at the end of the long row of the choices of payment. I arrived and asked the receptionist for the official invoice (and other docs as factura proforma needed acc Russian accounting) with the Essential Elements of the hotel for my travel expenses report. But she replied the only thing she could do was to put the hotel seal to the booking confirmation (voucher) I received via e-mail, motivation was funny – the on-line payment on official web site of the hotel wasn’t made to the hotel, it was made to the third party, which has some relations with the hotel… To the hotel staff’s credit – they tried to fix the situation and called my accountant with some explanations. But finally the will not give you legal documents if you pay online. Not recommended for business trips.

Reviewed By rodrigoelpI never thought I was going to be visiting a city such as Izhevsk yet life surprises you in unpredictable ways... And this hotel surprised me in a way I could not foresee (good way). The how I got to this hotel matters for you to understand why I was surprised by this hotel. As part of a business trip, my Russian colleagues told me I had to stay at a different hotel but that was practically impossible the first week, so I looked around and this hotel was recommended by one of my friends, but he warned me "they do not speak English. I will go with you and get things sorted." On arrival, the receptionist communicated with my friend and got my room ready. I tried to ask few questions as she did not appear to dominate English. That day was peaceful. The hotel is located just behind the administration of the city, not too far from restaurants, bank and other facilities... believe me when I tell you the city is not big and everything can be reached by foot. Even though the hotel isn't in the city centre, is located pretty close to some of the main lines of trams and buses. The hotel also has a fantastic sauna, a small pool and a gym that barely anybody uses. Rooms are big and comfortable and you have a wardrobe that you can use to keep all your clothes, suits and what have you. Breakfast usually consists of a wide selection of bread, Russian salad, tomatoes, cucumber, cheese and ham, yogourt, milk, drinking yogourt and a selection of dishes a-la-carte (pretty much any variation of egg, pancakes, crepes, etc. Every morning I came down to have my breakfast and even though the staff did not speak English, they brought a menu that had an English subtitle and you picked from there. I honestly cannot say communication was an issue, after a few tries you learn to say "spasivo" "dobro utra!" and other phrases. Dinner was pretty good in general, the menu has a wide variety of Russian dishes, all of them well prepared and delicious. Finally, the internet service. Is free, is protected and is good. I had no issues with the connectivity nor the range. It just worked and this was extremely important as I was connected all the time, sending and receiving data (and I am not talking just a few emails... I had video conferences, pushing and receiving files, all of it). I liked this hotel to be completely honest and I highly recommend it. It was more affordable than the next hotel I went to and I received a service a lot better.

Excellent mini-hotel
Reviewed By Ivanna_MI stayed at this hotel for two nights while visiting family. Excellent location off center, so it is really nice and quiet. Close to transportation, so you can get where you need in no time. Very nice staff - I was pleasantly surprised with the service there, clean rooms, breakfast gets cooked for you every morning - delicious with a home-made feel. They also offer a complimentary sauna in the morning, I just had to let them know beforehand that I wanted to use it. Overall - excellent value for your money. Will definitely stay there again. From drawbacks - I don't remember seeing an elevator or ramps, so it might not be well accessible for persons with disabilities, and can be inconvenient for seniors, so one might need to check with the hotel before booking. There are two buildings, and I've only been in one of them, so the other one might be better in this regard.
