Reviewed By HarryR140A modern, smallish hotel sitting on the shores of Lake Ohrid. The view from the terrace over the waters and across from snow covered mountain peaks is lovely. The rooms are large and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast feature local dishes. The hotel served us as a base for exploring the region.

PROCEED WITH CAUTION!
Reviewed By AndrewCrowe1975Ok so I would not normally write a TripAdvisor review but feel I should share my experience on this occasion. The venue was great - until the last day. The waiter was excellent - very thoughtful and couldn’t do enough to ensure I was comfortable. The breakfast was a little basic, with very little choice, but this would be my only criticism. My room was cleaned every day and I was quite happy. But on my last day, when I handed in my key - and was about to get a taxi - I was told that there was a payment problem. Apparently their bank had not received the funds for my stay! I booked my holiday through lastminute.com. I showed the hotel my online confirmation that I had paid in full. I called lastminute.com, and they confirmed to the hotel that I had paid in full too. But the hotel insisted I pay them too! I said this was unreasonable - that they should contact their bank or whoever was in their contractual chain - but they were persisted that I must pay! I don’t know if the hotel were “trying it on” but I saw no reason why I should do so. I was incredibly agitated and embarrassed. I was delayed and very nearly missed my return flight - I had to jump the queue at Tirana airport. Assuming the whole affair was not some sort of elaborate scam by the hotel, and that they had genuinely not been paid, I still think they treated me appallingly for an administrative error that was entirely not my fault. It really took the shine off my holiday. I wanted to do everything that I could to help them resolve the situation, but I was under no illusion that they expected me to be their insurance policy and risk suffering the loss of paying twice for my holiday! So beware! I am also suspicious because they did not raise this payment issue with me until the last possible moment.

Bugs in the salad.
Reviewed By Harri AThe salad had dead bugs in it. I called the waiter and showed him. He took the salad and went to the kitchen. He didn’t come back until I asked for the check. He brought me the full check but he told me not to pay for the salad. So I paid all the rest of the check even though most of the food was still there not eaten as me and my family couldn’t eat after this experience.

Noisy and Crowded
Reviewed By Kliton81Visited the hotel as a family of 4 recently as a last minute option. When you see the hotel from outside you never understand its huge capacity of rooms. You discover this in the morning at breakfast room when there is a huge line of people trying to get food. To be fair there was an unprecedented influx of people during this time due to extraordinary events in the country however it was too noisy and crowded. Rooms have started to show serious signs of wear and tear, there was an unpleasant smell in the rooms on check-in but after we aired it enough it was gone. Overall the rooms are clean however in the family rooms there are signs in the walls that show kids like to draw a lot :-). The heating/cooling is through air conditioners and they do their job quite good as the rooms were really warm. Bathroom was ok, with a walk in shower, but the heater in it didn't work (at least for our room). Breakfast was medium in both quality and range of assortments to chose from without taking in consideration the amount of people trying to get food in the same time. I would try not to stay away from recommending or not the hotel until a second visit under more normal circumstances.

Great Location
Reviewed By aidagjecajA simple hotel, of 3 stars maybe, not to much renovated but clean with white cotton linen. Just in front of the beach and 5 min to the village center. Very populated from different size groups. Breakfast not included in the room price. Suitable for families also.
