We stayed in Capalbio for 7 days and we really enjoyed our time there. Unspoilt beaches, gorgeous food, great sightseeing of the several historical towns in the area (Capalbio, Tuscania, Pitignano, Tarquinia, Vulci,...). And the Agriturismo Colleverde is a perfect base : nested on top of a hill, 5km out of Capalbio town and 12km away from the beaches. The rooms are excellent , with Air con, wifi, comfortable mattresses, immaculate cleanliness. Our kids enjoyed playing around the garden, also with the dog “Giotto” which is by far the friendliest dog I have met.. And then cherry at the top is the host Nada: she is so nice, kind and helpful, always available. You can sense her natural sense of hospitality which really made us feel like at home. She gave us plenty of tips on where to go. Moreover, she prepares copious homemade breakfasts with local food which were a perfect start of the day. Definitely a well deserved 5 star rating and we would come back again.

Agriturismo Poggio al Tufo is a beautifully refurbished farmhouse near the historic village of Pitigliano, on the hills of the Maremma Toscana, few kilometers away from Grosseto. The agritourism is sorrounded by vineyards belonging to the Tommasi family. The view is breathtaking and it is perfectly in keeping with its sorroundings. The Agriturismo Poggio al Tufo, composed of two adjacent buildings, has 8 rooms named after local sites. All rooms are elegant and have high end furnitures. They all have independent air conditioned and heating system, LCD TV, digital safe, minibar, hair dryer, courtesy line, and in-suite bathrooms with shower. In the backyard of the Agriturismo there is also a fully equipped large swimming pool where you can relax and hear only the birds singing. The Agriturismo Poggio al Tufo is also few kilometers away from Sovana, Sorano, from the most interesting sites of the Maremma Toscana like Terme di Saturnia and the most important Etruscan archeological sites.
The staff are very friendly. The food is nothing less than excellent, to a fair price (€25 for three course). The atmosphere is very relaxing with beautiful scenery - especially from the main house. The rompicollo wine is our favourite. Parking is good. Be sure to visit the beatiful town of Pitigliano. Next time we visit I'll bring a couple of additional access points/ routers ? The Wi-Fi is lacking in some rooms, but good from the pool.

This is a small and simple Agritourism located a short drive from the main town. The rooms are rustic and not fussy but clean. The views are really excellent, making it very suitable for a warm weather stay when you can sit inside outside. It’s surrounded by vineyards and olive Groves. They were unfortunately not serving dinner when I stayed there because they said that there were not enough guests at the time to justify running the kitchen — which was a disappointment. Nonetheless, we went to the agriturismo down the street and ended up having a nice meal there, so that turned out fine. Breakfast was decent, with some homemade cakes, etc. Good place to go if you’re looking for a simple place with no frills away from the tourist crowds.

Villa Le Prata - Residenza del Vescovo is the Boutique Hotel of the Villa Le Prata Winery. The eight rooms of the residence are located inside the historic Villa built in 1862 by Count De'Vecchi, which later became the summer residence of the bishops of Montalcino. The Villa is furnished with attention to the smallest detail in order to maintain its authenticity and original spirit. The structure is surrounded, in addition to the garden, by the vineyards of Brunello di Montalcino and by a park with cherry and chestnut trees which extends for about two hectares, bordered by the cypress avenue and the historic gate of the villa, now the logo of the company. The Villa has various services including the swimming pool with hot hydromassage, the possibility of organizing lunches, dinners and picnics in the vineyard or in the park, e-bikes, yoga lessons and a large package of experiences available to guests (from tastings to walks to horse in search of truffles). To enrich the heritage of the place the Winery is also engaged in a collaboration project with Italian and international artists, who will exhibit their works inside and outside the Villa.
Villa Le Prata has everything one looks for in a wonderful boutique hotel in the region. The Villa is beautiful and rich in history. The staff are all friendly, personal and helpful: Francesco the General Manager deserves a shout-out for being of particular assistance. The owner Bernardo and his wife are also active in managing the property, and strive to ensure that everyone is properly taken care of. The amenities are holistic, ranging from wine tours (the hotel also doubles up as a winery with its own label) to a nice pool next to the vineyards. In short, we were happy to call Villa Le Prata home for our two nights' stay in the Montalcino region, and were shown a great time both at the hotel and the surrounding areas by Francesco and Bernardo!

Just had a perfect 2 night stop with our 2 dogs during a tour of Italy. Beautiful farmhouse accommodation run by the family. Very welcoming and helpful with local recommendations. Outstanding homemade breakfast, prepare yourself for homemade cakes & coffee! It was quiet & peaceful & lovely to return and sit in the gardens after a hot day. You are only 5 mins from the Saturnia springs & drive to Saturnia village. Lots of places to eat in the village or get a takeaway & return to this lovely place.

The farmhouse near Siena is situated only 6 km. from Siena, in the heart of the Crete Senesi hills, surrounded by fields of wheat and sunflowers. It' s a protected conservation area where you can see wildlife such as hares and pheasants, roe deers, birds, wild ducks and smell the perfume of the Senesi countryside. The b&b farm holidays near Siena belongs to the Taccioli family who offer a warm and friendly hospitality.
Absolutely fantastic family friendly place to stay. Our hosts, brother and sister, Paolo and Francesca, are lovely and incredibly accommodating. Our very comfortable apartment is refurbished but maintains its rustic charm. The whole farmstead is bucolic and magnificently situated. The pool is a perfect temperature and the view from it is stunning. The close proximity to Siena and other Tuscan medieval gems makes it a super base from which to roam the region. The breakfast room is very charming, and the breakfast itself a delightful assortment of delicious home made treats and regional specialities. We'd love to stay longer, enjoying the blend of lazy days in the countryside and relaxed town visits. Highly recommended!

If you want a quit stay with an ultimate respect and awareness for hygiene, I would highly recommend Il Torrione. Never went to a b&b or hotel or...which was that organized to be Covid-proof. On top, every piece from their breakfast is homemade. The real agriturismo as it should be! They make bread, pasta, olive oil, wine, ... on their farm and you can taste it all. Only the winetasting was unfortunately not possible during our stay because of Covid. Super vacation with a beautiful swimming pool and very clean and large rooms. Il Torrione will please you very much!
