Reviewed By charlesfoxtrotEverything about the hotel was great. The staff did their best to speak English with us. The people at the front desk were cheerful as well as helpful. The room was clean and the atmosphere gave a homey feel. Breakfast was ordered the night before and picked up in the morning due to Covid protocals. We ate in our room. It was easy to find.

Quiet and convenient
Reviewed By scoutzzzMy daughter and I spent one night on our way to Quebec City. The hotel is a convenient walking distance from many restaurants and shops. We felt safe walking at night outside. The room was clean, large and overall, the hotel was very quiet. Parking is CAD$12/night. Given the cost of a night's stay, free parking should be included.

No food and false advertising
Reviewed By DrCtheworld5090Website indicated they had a restaurant which was open but after we arrived we found out they were unable to accommodate us. They advertised a boxed breakfast during covid but since the restaurant was open they no longer offered this and denied us access to all food including breakfast and dinner. They should not accept reservations if they cannot meet the needs of their guests and they should certainly not advertise food on site. Staff were unhelpful and did not notify us that meals were unavailable. Some guests were fed while others were denied with no warning which is completely unacceptable. Decor was tired looking . Lights were burnt out and walkways and laneways poorly maintained.

A Little Pricey
Reviewed By Richard RThe good points: Clean; easy access off the highway from Montreal to Quebec city; coffee and tea in room good quality; the young man at the reception desk very nice and helpful; comfortable bed; AC kept the room cool. The negatives: AC noisy - sounded like ice pellets falling from time to time; toilet really low - seemed more like a hole in the floor and moves from side to side; tiny, tiny soap and no body gel in the shower dispenser; reading light beside bed burned out. Have not had the breakfast yet so cannot comment. Overall given it is in Trois-Riviers, which is a nice city but not exactly a famous tourist destination, a bit pricey at $181 Cdn for a night in late May - not even peak season.

Reviewed By Alice LStopped in for the night after a day of travelling. Beds were OK and the room was clean, although there was an excessive amount of Fabreze used. Even that could not hide the Marijuana smell in the bathroom. As well, Marijuana is being smoked just outside the side door. Staff? Guests? Our room had no coffee or condiments -- had to go to reception to get them. The TV is so old it is super grainy. The hotel is old, so the room had very few plug-ins.

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at
Reviewed By bigdaddyxrayI spend 2/3 of my time in hotels for work, worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Working nights maids slam the doors constantly starting at 8 am. Begged the maids to please just prop the doors open so I could sleep, no change. Manager asked to do something several times and it only got worse. I even offered to buy them stoppers for the doors out of my own pocket. Have not slept more than four hours since my first night here. Been here three months and comforter has never been washed once. No plug ins for vehicles in winter. They lock the rear door after 10 pm and all front stalls are taken by 8 pm so you have to park in the back and walk all the way around the hotel in the snow to get in. Much better and cheaper accommodations literally half a block away that actually care about their clientele. Don’t give these people a penny of your money, you’ll regret it.

Reviewed By mom0992We were going to stay in a more upscale hotel in Trois Riviere, but so glad we didn't. Our room was spacious, clean and quiet. We loved the faux fireplace that added some ambiance to the chilly evening. Other reviews mentioned the owners don't speak English. Although the wife doesn't, she grabbed her husband who had enough English to recommend a nice restaurant for dinner. We had fun exploring the neighborhood directly behind the motel, which consists of farm houses and fields. The river across the street can be accessed if you don't mind walking between the homes that front the river. With morning continental breakfast included, Motel Canadien is a great deal.

Reviewed By 441clarissarLet me begin by saying that your options for lodging in trois rivieries seem limited. This definitely wasn’t the worst place I’ve ever stayed, but it was not the best. This is more of your old fashioned motel where you pull up to the door, which is fine. The desk clerk was very friendly on the phone and in person. Chief complaint: despite air conditioning, the room was overwhelmingly damp. Even the sheets were damp, which was very unpleasant to sleep in. Maybe in a season where it isn’t so humid, this may not be a problem.

Clean, comfortable and convenient
Reviewed By FlyAtNightMy wife and I stayed one night at the Trois Rivières Comfort Inn. We found our second floor room to be clean, comfortable and quiet. The microwave and fridge were handy. The hotel location is very convenient - near highways and many restaurants and stores. It was a good stay during our 6 day Québec trip.
