Our meals were very tasty albeit limited in choice. Our accommodation was a small villa with outside bathroom. Quite acceptable but could do with a fan as a bit hot. Biggest negative was no hot water, not even water out of the tap. A dribbling cold water shower is a big turn off and I would not recommend until this changed. Mosquito net over bed but repellent required when outside. Good to support a worthwhile undertaking but creature comforts need improvement.

Reviewed By Johan_SentosaIconic old resort in Trawas with good atmosphere and fresh air. Most of the guest rooms have been relocated to the new building which is a good thing. The problem is not all areas are covered with shelter so it might cause you problems when it rains. Not every room has air conditioner, so if u think u're gonna need one just put a request note in your booking / just call the hotel. I know that this hotel offers affordable price & i can't expect too much from it but for me the breakfast was awful. Luckily you can easily find street foods just nearby & in front of the hotel

Check in was fast,there’s an elevator. We got our suite room at lv3. The room is big,and we mean BIG. You could ask for 3 or even 5 extra beds inside. There’s no AC,so better to open all the windows and let it all in,no mosquitos ?? There’s a fridge. A balcony. A bathup ( better not use it,looks old,just use it as a shower ). At night it’s super quiet and you can really enjoy it. Pros Large rooms,even the deluxe can fit 2 extra beds Average price Great Kari Ayam at breakfast section Extra walls at the balcony right and left side to ensure your privacy and noise from surrounding ?? Housekeeping’s staff is fast, we would like another water heater as ours had some ... well,let’s just say it’s better to ask for another. And they gave it to us not long after the call. Cons No restaurant near the hotel ( soto gondrong pujasera was 10mins with car ) No AC which can be quite hot in the morning and the afternoon The view is not that special,blocked by their own building near the pool. No non smoking area even in the indoor restaurant ( we had trouble surroundes by smokers at breakfast )

Old authenthic many stairs no elevator

A lot of stair since the front terrace, lobby until even to your room, so peple with old r children or using wheelchair better choosing room near the lobby. This hotel and also many hotel near this area seems used to be a gathering and outbound for office. Hope this hotels have a nice improvement for next time. Bout the food, nice but while serving need to be more nice placement...coz more interesting....the staff need more training to be much more friendly, smiley n ready to serve

Reviewed By Monika Setyowat... HSekarang nama hotelnya Grand Whiz Trawas. Sebelum booking, saya telpon dulu hotelnya. Diinfokan bahwa kamar Superior room bisa dapat view Gunung Penanggungan. Kalau di lantai 2, dapat teras/balkon. Di lantai 1 langsung taman. Kalau Deluxe room, katanya furniturenya lebih modern. Jadi kita pilih Superior saja. Bantalnya berlimpah (ada 4 bantal besar & 2 bantal kecil), kasurnya empuk juga. Kamar mandinya rainy shower jadi sudah bawa gayung dari rumah karena anak saya ga biasa pakai shower model itu (tapi di hotel ternyata sudah ada di lemari). Sayang sekali, airnya agak menggenang di lantai, tidak langsung ke lubang. Viewnya bagus. Kamarnya besar & luas karena lemarinya di kamar mandi. Yang kurang, colokan listriknya hanya ada 1 di atas sofa & 1 di kamar mandi. Bisa pinjam hairdryer di resepsionis (telpon saja, nanti dianterin). Untuk makanannya, pas dinner ada paket buka puasa, kita beli paket tersebut (Normalnya Rp. 70 ribu, karena menginap di sana jadi Rp. 45 ribu) & anakku dapat free. Katanya ada 100 menu. Untuk sarapan, nasi gorengnya enak & porsinya besar. Lamiennya juga enak, bisa lihat chefnya bikin, anak saya suka liatnya. Oiya, untuk sarapan, anak 5 tahun ke atas, mesti bayar 50% (harga normal Rp. 85 ribu). Ada outbound area buat anak, cuma anakku ga mau coba. Ada activity berbayar, misalnya Flying Fox, ATV, Mobil Off Road. Kolam renangnya gratis (bisa pinjam handuk kalau menginap di sana. Kalau tidak, dicharge Rp. 35 ribu). Juga ada spot-spot foto yang ok juga. Dan ada bale-bale untuk menikmati pemandangan. So far, ok juga kok menginap di sini. Staffnya helpful ??

Great place, unfortunately poor maintenance

Our villa front facing the beautiful rice paddy with magnificent view of Penanggungan Mountain, fairly relaxing in addition to the occasional cold gentle breeze We were given a villa with three spacious bedroom with two king size bed on each room.. And also i forgot to mention the spacious living room. A little bit overkill for the room size but a good option for big families with children Sadly this great place, in my opinion lacks of maintenance support. Two of our room AC were not functioning well and created humid and damp smell. Automatically our bed were not the freshest and the side table seemed like havent been cleaned in ages it stinks like rat pee. The staff tried to fix the AC but it didnt quite work out.. But their hospitality is one to be commended! The bathrooms were another surprise given by this Resort to us. It was smelly, damp, run down and there were tons of small insects
