Antidote

Reviewed By Jennijenks2011 - St. Petersburg, Russia

Went diving with Antidote as a total beginner for a Baptême. The staff were all incredibly friendly and professional. Joëlle was the perfect instructor for beginners and during our dive pointed out lots of beautiful fish I would have missed otherwise! She also speaks English for visitors who don't speak French. The only suggestion I would make is to ask the team to take more photos during the dive because I was expecting more than one. Wonderful experience, I would definitely go back!

Anse du Souffleur

Enjoyed a few hours at the beach on our way from Grand Terre to Basse Terre. The beach is simply gorgeous. this is probably not a good beach for families with young children since the surf is high and there is a significant undertow. Nevertheless, we had a wonderful time at this beach. There were quite a few people taking advantage of the waves and Surfing. There are some shady areas along the beach . The beach also has bathroom facilities. Although there are no restaurants at the beach, there are a few food trucks that sell sandwiches and salads.

Centre de Plongee Gwadive

I was not even dreaming of this :
- You give a call the day before to have a dive with Gwadive : 'no problem, come tomorrow morning at 9am'.
- The D-day, you come at 9am : a smily guy receives you and explains that you're the only guest that morning!! Normal as he had forgotten, but it's his Birthday today, so he wanted to stay quiet :-) ! No problem for him, it will be his birthday gift to have a dive with just the two of us!
- Then you discuss with Olivier (the 'guy' I was mentionning) & spend a very nice moment chatting with him..., just the time to arrive on the diving spot : today, 2 in 1 ! 'The Barracuda Caves' & the 'Arches'
- End of the Dive, you're back on the boat, your mouth is looking like a banana as you're not stopping to smile... The Dive was amazing, plenty of Fauna, very nice caves & arches, and all of that in a very clear & warm water (27°c)!!!
- We finished our discussion on the boat & then around a beer...
This was just amazing!!!! Thank you Olivier!

I was taking my first diving course at Eden Plongee and it was amazing!
Christophe is a super sympathic guy and a great teacher. I enjoyed every single dive and can highly recommend him and his dive center. Although my french is very weak, communication in english was not a problem at all. ;-)

Beauport le Pays de la Canne

Reviewed By packedlite - Cambridge, Massachusetts

If you speak French, the guided tour may be informative. We speak some French, but opted to take the self-guided tour. All of the signs were in French and in English so we were able to learn about some of the exhibits. However, the museum is run down and really in need of an upgrade. The best exhibit was the house of the factory owner. This had been completely reconstructed and was quite nice. The windmill was a shell and could be climbed to about three stories high affording a great view, but the maps were so weather-worn that they were not readable. One did get some information from the other museum signs about what this factory must have been like, but it is not worth the fee for admission.
