Dunfermline (/dʌnˈfɜːrmlɪn/ ( listen); Scots: Dunfaurlin, Scottish Gaelic: Dùn Phàrlain) is a town and former Royal Burgh, and parish, in Fife, Scotland, on high ground 3 miles (5 km) from the northern shore of the Firth of Forth. The 2011 census recorded the town's population at 49,706, however figures released in 2012 estimate Dunfermline's population as 50,380, making it the largest locality in Fife and the tenth largest in Scotland.

This shop is a real wee jem! I’m a regular visitor here buying gifts for friends and family and I usually end up coming out with something for myself too. Ruth (owner) is lovely and friendly and goes out of her way to help you find the right gift.

We are literally just next door to the mock Tudor Popinjay Hotel and a short distance from Mauldslie Bridge and the Clyde Walkway. On display is a large selection of interesting Antiques & Collectables & Decorative Arts. We are also antique & art valuers. Discover antique books, china, clocks, furniture, jewellery, prints, antique watches, bric-a-brac, British stamps, coins & medals, comics, postcards, rare books, and a friendly welcome.

Another fantastic wee purchase from this great wee antique centre, a lovely Bronze Age Amulet, and it came with a certificate of authentication from its original London vendor. Something over 4000 years old for about £30. I am so pleased with my purchase. I will upload a photo.

This is a perfect place to spend some time on a rainy or sunny day. The mini golf is brilliant, with both an indoor and outdoor course. The bowling is good too with a fun atmosphere and vibe; it has an arcade and plenty of pool tables. The leisure park has multiple places to eat and a free car park.

A beautiful melding of the old and the new: traditional wooden bookcases in the old library building meets fantastically clever and original new galleries. A superb piece of modern architecture making the most of the available space whilst capitalising upon the stunning views from on high. Very interesting items beautifully displayed. What a shame the old Abbott's House Museum next door is no more....

Miss Pauley's is a small furniture, craft and gift shop in the heart of Dunfermline selling a wide range of locally made items. Miss Pauley's also run arts and crafts classes ranging from crochet to furniture up scaling!

Fire Station Creative is a cultural hub in Dunfermline. On the ground floor is a cafe and exhibition space. Exhibitions change monthly, showcasing work from both local and international artists and collectors. Fire Station Creative hosts local musicians on Friday and Saturday evenings, also providing delicious drinks and platters. It is a light filled, contemporary space fashioned out of the old engine hall of the fire station, complete with two original poles!
