The service here is very attentive, sometimes they give complementary appetizers, main dish, dessert or drinks. The octupus is to die for, the shrimp soup is very good too, the steam huachinango and the seafood rice will wake up your senses.

This place was recommended by a local when we were walking in Mercado Municipal Melchor Ocampo. Our Spanish is very limited and we were having trouble understand the menu, but the hostess was very patient with us and explaining each item to us. And the closed by dinners were offering us their food to try before we ordered. We ordered the Menudo (Beef Tripe) and my husband and I enjoyed it very much. Our three teenager kids ordered and shared different entrees and liked them all. The price is very reasonable and the place is very clean. Our taxi driver was having trouble finding this place (we assumed that as local like himself doesn't even know about this place).

Intenté llegar, llevado por las opiniones y fotos de este sitio.
Después de dar vueltas como 3 veces y no encntrarlo, decidí llamar a lo que me dijeron que ya era tarde y no tenían servicio, eran las 14:30 hrs (hora de comer).
Así que desconozco su horario y días de servicio pero a la hora de la comida fue inexistente.

Doña Rosa and her daughters serve coffee, tea & hearty breakfasts from 8-10 am, lunch & dinner from 2-9 pm. Apart from chiles rellenos, enchiladas, carne asada, chicken & chilaquiles, freshly caught TROUT, prepared in a variety of styles, is the house specialty. Vegetarian/vegan options, kids meals, beer, wine & Tequila also available. Come by when you visit the Cerro Pelon Monarch Sanctuary!

We enjoyed each of our three dinners and three breakfasts. Oatmeal with fresh fruit, egg dishes and fruit with yogurt are all great. The trout empalelado house speciality is delicate and mild, Sincronizadas is a warm tortilla Sandwich, fresh daily soups are great, chicken enchiladas with green sauce are mild, carne asda was tasty, but chewy. Great place to talk with other travelers.

very informal with very good service. Breakfast was about 6usd but looked like a buffet, fruit, juice, coffee, sweet bread, main dish. Después de escuchar muchas cosas buenas de este nuevo lugar, decidí probarlo y me pareció aún mejor de lo que decían.
Los precios están en un rango aceptable para la excelente calidad de los alimentos (rango $300 por persona incluyendo bebidas).
El servicio muy amable y eficiente y ni qué decir de los platillos, la atención es personalizada y hasta cuenta con el dueño en persona para cualquier situación.
Pedimos el pulpo zarandeado y está de tamaño perfecto con puré de papas, la arrachera suficiente y súper suave, la calidad excelente.
Combinación perfecta de precio, sabor y calidad.

Traveling with our friends we discovered Caba-Ka. The owner, Jorge, speaks perfect English and is very engaging. He and his wife run the restaurant. We had salmon, prawns, rib eye, and it was all cooked perfectly, extra hard to do with salmon. We liked it so much we went back the next day for lunch. The beer is extra cold and the mezcal is served elegantly. I highly recommend this place. Best food in town.
