Since not so many tourists here yet, so the cost of island hopping and water activity is per boat (per boat was Rp600,000). This price did not include rental for safety jacket, snorkel set (Rp20,000), visiting 5 Islands and 1 snorkel point. The trip was so so, nothing much special.

Whatever road we take in Banda Aceh, it will lead to Baiturrachman Mosque.
Always full with visitors. The best time to visit is between 10:00am to 11:30am. As Banda Aceh is very hot get ready with your sun cream.
You need to wear fully covered attire to visit the mosque. No jeans or leggings.

Lengkuas Beach

Lengkuas Island located in the waters of the Belitung Island, and is about 30 minutes away by boat from Tanjung Kelayang beach or Tanjung Binga in District Sijuk, Belitung. In Lengkuas Island there is Lighthouse, built by Dutch colonial in 1882 and still actively working for marine navigation. Visitors must wash feet with fresh water before entering the lighthouse buildings constructed of steel, because the sea water can cause rust on the building. From the lighthouse, you can see beauty of the white sandy Beaches on the island with giant granite rocks and clear sea water greenish.

Nice and short boat trip to go there, quite a hike to go up the lighthouse, wonderful view on the nearby Islands, clear water. Safe to swim in some parts, a bit rocky on others. Unfortunately there are hundreds of rubbish left on the island by tourists.

Visited here on a tour through western Sumatra, and was lucky enough to have clear views on both the evening of arrival and the morning of departure. Tea plantations around the area give some great photo opportunities around the base of a classic cone volcano.
