Lumbinī (Nepali and Sanskrit: लुम्बिनी listen (help·info), "the lovely") is a Buddhist pilgrimage site in the Rupandehi District of Province No. 5 in Nepal. It is the place where, according to Buddhist tradition, Queen Mayadevi gave birth to Siddhartha Gautama in 563 BCE. Gautama, who achieved Enlightenment some time around 528 BCE, became the Buddha and founded Buddhism. The service was great and the food was excellent. We had 2 veg curries and both were very tasty. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in Lumbini.

I still remember it very well. I've visited Hotel Peace Land & Kudan restaurant. On that day, that day is a celebration of Holy. I travel and tour group of 15 people staying at the hotel. This day is a holiday for employees. We travel to Hotel Peace Land at 2.00 pm. We did not eat lunch and have a feeling hungry a lot. I have let the owner know that we are very hungry and want to eat lunch here & now. Peace Land owner name is Mr. Binaya Shrestha.The owners have made a call to the chef of the hotel immediately.I and a group of 15 people. The food served within thirty minutes. I and a group of 15 people was very grateful and impressed.was very grateful for the support and the owner of our tour was excellent.And I would like to say thank you very much Mr. Binaya Shrestha, owner of Hotel Peace Land & Kudan Restaurant that provides support and care for the tour was excellent. Thank you very much. Thank you really. Hotel Peace Land & Kudan Restaurant. We will never forget the impression of this trip forever, We promise. See you soon.

I really don't understand why there are so many good reviews of this place (other than the food is terrible everywhere in Lumbini!) we ordered vegi momos, which were hard & had tasteless filling, the dipping sauce was too spicy as they left the chilli seeds in. The vegi burger was tasty but the fries weren't cooked properly. The tea came with sugar already in it (unusual for Nepal, common in India) and it took forever for the food to come (though they do cook it fresh) but we were the only people on the restaurant & I could have cooked it quicker myself. My conclusion is there isn't anywhere in Lumbini that does good food, I'm completely baffled why it is so bad here!

We ate here on several occasions as we couldn't find other 'attractive' options, besides there was always other people eating here which is a good sign! The food was tasty and fresh. Not the best quality but certainly not the worst and very edible. The staff were friendly. Would recommend.

The owners are chinese and the food is prepared for the chinese taste, so It is a perfect place to eat a authentic chinese food in Nepal. The restaurant is simple but cozy, the menu is extensive and the prices are reasonable. Its worth a visit.

This restaurant is far less frequented because it is about a 3 min walk from the main bazaar road. But well worth the walk! Amazing staff. Great variety of food. Comfortable and clean Seating (no flies!!). Plus a deck for outside dining. Food is delicious. They even run a cooking school in the back!

I was so impressed by this cafe’s amazing breakfast that I actually ended up going back several more times. Everything was delicious. I’m vegetarian and had the Thai curry, pad Thai, Nepali veg set, and spring rolls. Everything was delicious! I was certainly not expecting to find good Thai food in Lumbini!!
