Amazing wedding venue!
Reviewed By Streetsmart28From the moment we stepped our feet at Melies in the summer of 2018, my then fiancé- now husband, and I knew we wanted to have our wedding reception here. Dimitri was amazing to work with throughout the winter, as he was quick to answer any calls and emails with questions and requests that I had in order to plan the big day from across the Atlantic. Our wedding day was magical! The staff at Melies did an exquisite job putting it all together. Our guests raved about the delicious three course meal, which was served promptly to all guests. The view from Melies is stunning! It is located on a hill where you can see modern day Sparta from above. Our guests enjoyed the food, views, excellent service, and luxurious suites, which resemble fortresses from another time period. I have only amazing things to say about our wedding day, the planning process, and the world class customer service we experienced. I can’t forget to mention, our guests also enjoyed the magnificent pool the day of our wedding and the next day! Some of our guests did island hopping and returned to Melies after the wedding to finish their vacation in Sparta, Greece. If I could give 10 STARS, I would!!! Thank you for making it amazing!

The rooms are nice, clean and affordable. There is a beautiful beach, 5 minutes walk. I was impressed that locals recommended this place and that, from my point of view speaks for itself.

Reviewed By StefUSNice and cozy B&B right in the beach with lounge chairs for guests. Just merge yourself in the clear waters of Kagio bay or take property’s canoe for a paddle. Everything was perfect. Nice spacious rooms, comfy bed, very hearty breakfast and restaurant offers delicious food. Cherry on the cake is even if family run, very professional and helpful staff. We loved it and shall return!

Reviewed By AlexandrosP448Ridiculous service and owner. BE CAREFUL! The whole thing is a total scam. On top of everything the owner is extremely racist, misogynist and mean. I have never encounter such behavior. Under any circumstances don't go to any of his hotels! Terrible experience!!! I booked a room, showed up, no one was there, no refund, and after numerous calls and a report to the police, I finally got my money back. In the last call, I had the owner screaming and swearing at me and never apologized! Not even once. He acted like a mafia and threatened me repeatedly! Just horrible and totally unprofessional!!! Never go there under any circumstances! Still cannot believe that he is allowed to have a license because I spoke to EOT and they told me he has so many fines. Someone should do something!

Reviewed By 840konstantinosgAs soon as we arrived at the hotel we were informed that there was a double booking in the room, the owner told me that he tried to contact me without it being done. When I left the hotel he told me that I would find another accommodation on the island and then he left without helping me find another accommodation, so we traveled at night to Athens as there was nothing available both on the island and in the wider area.

Ωστόσο, το αρχοντικό παρόλο που είναι πολλά χρόνια στην παροχή δωματίων και έχει αλλάξει αρκετούς διαχειριστές πάντα κρατούσε μια πολύ σωστή στάση απέναντι στους επισκέπτες. Όμορφα ζεστά δωμάτια, κάποια από αυτά με θέα καθότι στην μπροστινή πλευρά του κτιρίου, κάποια με τζάκι και δύο επίπεδα. Μπορεί να μην είναι όλα βολικά ειδικά αυτά με τα επίπεδα αν υπάρχουν παιδάκια μικρά ή μωρά στην οικογένεια αλλά είναι πολύ cosy χώροι. Δεν υπάρχει η ρεσεψιόν με την έννοια που την γνωρίζουμε καθώς χρειάζεται τηλεφωνική επικοινωνία πριν να φτάσετε αλλά αυτό δεν δημιουργεί κανένα πρόβλημα. Πολύ κοντά στο κέντρο (πάτε με τα πόδια) και με ένα χώρο άτυπο parking απ'έξω που θα μπορέσετε να αφήσετε το αυτοκίνητο σας.
