Running from December 2008, reviving an old and renowned traditional tavern of 1936, our restaurant Chromata has become a whole new experience for the area of Mystras.Located in Pikoulianika, in a local traditional stone built home enjoying marvellous veiws of the entire Byzantine estate, Chromata was re-designed by the distinguished theatrical scenographer Eva Nathena.

We loved the place, great setting with a view over the valley, excellent service, very good wines and great food! We had various starters and they we all outstanding. So far the best restaurant we have been to in Peloponnes.

The restaurant "SAGA" is the appropriate place, as with its many years of experience is still offering its clients unique and tasty dishes , such as : spaghettis with shrimps, fish soup, fresh fishes, fried squids, octopus, grilled meat and a great variety of starters, salads and boiled vegetables. This restaurant attracks attention by its nicely layed tables. The owner and his staff give you an exeptionel service. The tasteful fish is filleted at the table. During our annual stay in Gytheio, we have dinner here every evening, so that should say enough. Prices are very democratic.
This business is certainly worth a visit, and even more than one.

A taverna at the far left of the harbour that has it all: a deck right down on the waters edge where you can swim and have a swower!! Absolutely fabulous food from Alexandra that cooks for the tavern the last 38 years!! Such a relaxing place that you can sit for hours there ! Private parking and playground for the children! Visitors can breath in the romantic atmosphere and smell the sea in this magic salty paradice! Traditional recipes will temp your palate and delight your senses! The best view you can get day and night in the area! Always nice temp because of its position that always gets fresh breeze !!

Went twice here whilst we stayed in Stoupa, had heard about the Asian nights , so gave it a try , it did not disappoint, stunning setting, great chilli chicken , excellent service , will defo return next year , loved it , thank you

Right next to the sea, great fresh fish and even better homemade local pies. Lovely wine. Good service. What I missed was a treat at the end of our meal, which usually comes with the bill. Something very common in Greece and especially if you are with children. What a shame :-(

It's is right by the entrance of kastro Monemvasia. It's is a 3storey cafe, cocktail bar and does really nice breakfasts opposite a local artist gallery called Malavas (not sure of the gallery's name). Excellent drinks, staff and beautiful panoramic views from the top floor of the sea and Gefira and across... Really nice owner with lovely coffees and freshly made breakfast etc. at night it's a nice little joint for cocktails, drinks, music and splendid views of the night sea and bay etc.

I found Emvasis to be charming and very conducive to the writing I needed to do. The chilled-out music was what drew me in originally. The decor and views from inside are beautiful, and the coffee and service are great! Everything I ate and drank there was excellent, especially the coffee and cake, and cooked breakfast. It's a really good place, and I will be going back! It's a bar, so you can have pretty much what you like to drink.

When we visit Stoupa the Akrogiali is always on our list to visit. It never disappoints and is always the same standard every year. The service and food is spot on and it is always very busy. The steak is always cooked to your liking and the sauces that go with it are excellent.

We went there with my husband to enjoy the sunset. The view and the location is very good and the staff quite nice. It is though very disappointing that the store was very dirty. The tables weren't clean nor the seats. They also bring some sort of filtered water in glass bottles that have been reused a thousand times!!!

Multiple visits and good every time. This place is always busy—with both locals and non-locals—and the food is consistently good! Interesting veggies, wide option of seafood, and non-seafood as well.
The prices are great too.
NOTE: this place is the only one that we found with non-greek beer! Check it out on your way in.

Excellent grilled lamb with rosemary and Greek salad. Very tasty soup offered "on the house." They have a parking lot which is very helpful since it is quite difficult to park in Stoupa. Will be returning on a Thurs. night when they have live Greek music.

This is the place to go either straight off the beach, pre dinner drinks or late late drinks Giannis always finds a table at busy times and his ability to remember names and favourite drinks is astounding. Food is also good All on all a good place to sit and relax
