Quiet cozy hotel with excellent service and friendly atmosphere
Reviewed By Babsie59We stayed in Landgasthof Euler for 4 nights in Feb 2020 and had a very good experience. The rooms are newly renovated in a very nice style which we would call "minimalistic Bavarian", i.e. timber, warm colours. The bathrooms are brand new. The hotel is quiet. We had a room with an excellent view. But the best is the breakfast - fit for the queen of Saba! Fresh fruit, mueslis of all kinds, home made jams, the Bavarian saussage meat and cheeses, all breads of the earth, juices, coffees, teas - a great start to the day.

Quiet place, great for rest
Reviewed By gissietGreat location, quiet, room (208) ideal size, with balcony, refrigerator, shower, toilet; bathroom with own window. Everything clean and functional. Smoking is allowed on the balconies (table, two chairs); in case of sunshine, the balcony is equipped with a parasol. Windows fitted with insect screens; all windows and balcony doors can be tilted and opened. Breakfast is absolutely sufficient for us. Coffee / tea / cold milk, several types of bread and pastries available, including two types of wheat buns, approximately ten types of sausages, six types of cheese, hard-boiled eggs, butter, eight types of pits, up to six types of juices, two types of mineral water , up to six kinds of yogurt, two kinds of fresh fruits and four kinds of fresh vegetables, several kinds of cereals. Room cleaning was done daily, perfect. Towels are changed by default once every three days, on request at any time; bed linen once a week, on request at any time. For my taste, soft mattresses on the beds (but it is clear to me that the opinions on the hardness of the mattresses are diametrically different for visitors). Older furniture; however, some of the rooms are equipped with distinctly new furniture. Especially in the evening, a weaker Wi-Fi network and, unfortunately, the operator signal is not the strongest for data traffic. Apart from breakfast, no meals or hot drinks can be purchased at the hotel. Cold drinks (soft drinks, wine, beer) are available in the self-service refrigerator in the hotel reception area. However, in the village there are several restaurants within walking distance in the vicinity, where you can eat, drink coffee, etc.

Great location and welcoming family
Reviewed By Phil HIt is fair to say that at the time of our visit the family run Hotel Dreisonnenberg was quiet. Based on the breakfast tables laid with cutlery I suspect that there was only one other guest during our first night and that we were on our own after that. May is perhaps not peak season but even so, the location itself and the hotel did not suggest that this was to be expected. I had requested on booking that a room with a view be booked so we were situated on the rear of the hotel looking out towards distant hills - this was appreciated but given that the place was empty we could have perhaps been given a room on the second or third floor rather than the first. We knew in advance that the hotel was 3-star but given that it's own restaurant and bar were not open (due to low season) an option on making tea upon returning from a day of walking would have been welcome - as would our host perhaps offering to serve a beer. These opening comments may appear negative but they are left purely in the interests of providing a true, unbiased experience from which perhaps potential visitors and hosts may benefit. Overall we found the room to be sufficient for our requirements, the balcony was a welcome addition and everything was clean and tidy - in fact the room was tidied even when we had placed the 'do not disturb' sign on the door. Our host Manwell who I took to be the owner's Son was pleasant and very helpful in his attempts to explain what the local area had to offer, how to make the most of it including local buses and upon our leaving after 3 days was keen to ensure that we knew the best way to get to our next location. We would not hesitate to recommend to friends or to revisit if we can get back to this truly lovely area but I would suggest to owners that perhaps investing in tea making facilities would add to the overall experience for guests and given the location and perhaps the attraction for ramblers then perhaps the offer of a packed lunch of some description could add to the appeal. Again, this is not meant to be negative, and we do appreciate that this is a 3-star hotel not a more expensive one.

New discovery in Waldhäuser, Bavaria
Reviewed By NewForest-TrufflesOur first visit to this place for about 14 years. Initially a 'hotel, food and breakfast'. A couple of managers/franchisees in between. The place is now run as a B&B. Not really a Pension despite the title and not a Gasthof, just rooms with bed and breakfast. Adults only as no children allowed. We were assigned room 3 on the first floor. What a wonderous surprise. A small hallway with a shower room off to the side. A substantial lounge (with private balcony). A large size bedroom with a massive bed (very comfortable) and plently of storage. Breakfast room open 07:30 - 09:30 (optional and extra but definately worth it) with buffet style breakfast with toaster, hot coffee machine, cereals, meats/cheeses, fruit salad, fresh fruit etc. Also on the first floor is a communal room with fridges and cupboards for each room with plates and cutlery etc. Self-catering style if you want to. The couple who own and run it speak English, warm and very welcoming. The decor is modern but remembers its roots with beautiful furniture. I would never have thought of coming here but for the fact that the pension we stay in was fully booked for the second weekend. I will most certainly come back here.

Reviewed By europhantBei der Ankunft fühlt man sich bei Richards Begrüßung gleich wie zu Hause! Neues Hotel im puristisch-modernen Stil, schön eingerichtet. Die Zimmer sind äußerst geräumig mit tollem Sitzbereich am Fenster! Auch hier ist die Einrichtung mit vielen Holzelementen und sehr gemütlich! Toller Wellnessbereich mit mehreren Saunen, Dampfbad, Erlebnisdusche, Pool mit Außenbereich, Ruhebereich und Getränke- und Snacktheke. Das enthaltene Frühstücksbuffet ist grandios und lässt keine Wünsche offen, qualitativ sehr hochwertige Produkte. Das Abendessen im Gasthof war auch sehr schmackhaft und der Service ist blitzschnell und aufmerksam.

Ferienwohnung Dachgeschoß
Reviewed By eppleandreasDie Lage ist super. Die Ausstattung ist auch ok. Etwas alt und der Backofen ist aus den 80ern. Das WLAN war sehr sehr schlecht. Zum Dachfenster im Schlafzimmer hat es ordentlich rein geregnet. Und für das Geld gibt es in Neuschönau größere und günstigere Wohnungen die moderner ausgestattet sind.
