A real "Wanderers" cabin set in the Nature Park of the Bavarian Forest, 2 hours east of Munich. 5km from Drachselsried. A winter and summer paradise, Very popular for over-night stops and has very good winter cross country skiing. Take the local ski bus in season, says a lot of hard driving.

Prompte Bedienung und das Essen war in Ordnung. Braten nur am Wochenende. Das Ambiente ist besser als Vielerorts.AuÃer in den umliegenden Städten ist im Oktober nicht mehr viel los.

My cousin and I spent the afternoon hiking up from Hamry on the Czech side of the mountain and the Osserschutzhaus was a very welcome sight. It was a beautiful hike but I was getting thirsty and the Osser Pivo was quite refreshing and the farmers sausages warm and tasty. The view is of course spectacular in all directions. A strong wind and cool temperatures along with a slight drizzle kept most people inside but it was not crowded even then. There are several directions and trails to choose from when choosing to hike here. A good map or a very careful study of one before you embark on your hike is recommended as one trail may branch off into several. You might want to pack a wind breaker or hoodie as the temperature in this region can fluctuate and weather conditions can change rapidly. The menu is small but will consist of typical Bavarian cuisine. Schnitzel, Sausages and the like. I enjoyed the warm sausages I ordered. If hiking from Hamry expect to spend the 2.5 - 3 hours hiking up, an hour at the summit and another 1.5 - 2 hours on your way down. It makes for a great day trip! Perhaps someday I will make it back.

We had an excellent business/friends dinner. Starters were great and equally matched by main dishes. Host was most gracious, recommended a perfect German red wine, that surprised us all. If youâre in the region, it is highly recommended to pay a visit.

Im Waffelbahnhof einkehren.....ein Genuss. Stilvolles Ambiente und stets präsentes freundliches Personal. So soll es sein.......Kaffee, Kuchen und Waffeln......alles fein ...gerne wieder.

Am heutigen Tag unternahmen wir eine schöne Winterwanderung rund um den Hohenbogen.Beim Abstieg vom Eckstein machten wir einen Abstecher zum Berghaus um etwas zu trinken.Die Aussicht von den AuÃenplätzen auf den Bayerischen und den Böhmer Wald war wirklich sehr schön.Der Service war sehr freundlich, die Preise angemessen.Die Gerichte auf den Nebentischen sahen sehr gut aus und schmeckten offensichtlich auch.Insgesamt eine sehr positive Erfahrung.

Das Hotel ist ein typisch bayerisches Wirtshaus. Gemütlich rustikal eingerichtet und der Service ist standesgemäà in einer Kellnertracht zu sehen. Das bayerische Buffet überzeugt durch Auswahl und Geschmack. Die Köche selbst reichen die warmen Speisen vor Ort. Natürlich durfte beim Salat der bayerische Klassiker âTomate-Mozzarellaâ nicht fehlen Das Restaurant ist einen Besuch wert.
