This neighbourhood pub is rarely open now. The owner has been downright rude to his neighbours, demanding anyone visiting the trails in the area buy a permit from him for $10/person. How can we buy permits if he is closed all the time? No more hikes and then a burger and beer, because not only would that cost more than $25 with the new permit fee, but there is no longer kitchen here, and closing time is 9 pm. No word if there are plans to reopen the kitchen. The place looks like it's had a fresh coat of paint, but it's hard to tell what the inside is like. I guess I won't know.

This Chinese Food Take Out, is located inside Quality Foods. They have a great selection, the taste and quality are good too, their sizes are comparable and the prices are in line with other take outâs in town and in some instances quite cheaper. Well worth the time to stop and try.

After living in Vancouver for all my life, and having had the privilege of eating some of the most authentic Chinese food in the country, this was the first âChinese foodâ restaurants we ate at in Campbell River.All the dishes order that did show up to the table were of very poor quality.

Buffet lunch was very good with a nice selection of crispy spring rolls, prawn fritters,wanton soup,fried rice,fried vegetarian noodles,selection of meat and vegetable dishes all served piping hot and topped up in quick succession. Service was good and friendly.Fairly busy on a weekday lunch. Prices reasonable.

A few tables in an Asian food store. Display case has lots of rolls and wraps that would be good for quick take-out, we had soups that were made to order, authentic and delicious.

With several good reviews on TA, we wanted to give this restaurant a chance. What a disappointment.Canadians will be positive to the portions, but that's it. We had a set two person dinner with sweet and sour pork, beef/broccoli and a Chow Mein. The beef and broccoli wasn't too bad, but the sweet and sour pork - without any vegetables, felt like it was warmed up from last week. When you know how good Asian cooking can be, it is frustrating to meet all these simple Asian restaurants in North America. Unfortunately, I don't have a better option in Campbell River...

All your favourite chinese dishes that can't be found in typical canadian-chinese restaurants are here! Amazingly accommodating staff and food that matches. It is best to go with larger groups so you can get a bigger variety of food. Just ask the staff if you're not sure what's good to order. I would highly recommend ordering the duck, onion pancakes, and the fried eggplant dishes.

This is our favourite Chinese Food Restaurant when we visit Campbell River. Their food has really great taste and they have a great selection from which to choose. Prices are quite reasonable.

Driftwood Chinese Restaurant is about 2 km from the Salmon Point RV Campground and Marina where we were staying. It is a decent Chinese restaurant serving up excellent buffet meals. Even though it was a weekday evening the restaurant was crowded for dinner. They close early at 8 pm.We decided to opt for the a la carte dishes as we did not want to overeat that night. We ordered a couple of spring rolls and a dish of Chicken Chow Fun with flat rice noodles. The rolls were small and unappetising but we did enjoy the generous serving of the Chicken Chow Fun with some additional soya sauce.The service lady was quick and efficient and quite cheerful too. We enjoyed the dinner in the colourful and busy ambiance of the place. Rates are reasonable with the dinner buffet costing around $20.
