Reviewed By imgwizRoom lovely, bed comfortable, liked extra space with the couch as a seating option. Liked the big windows and brightness of the space during the day. Bathroom big, good for putting up a line to dry washed clothes! Room really quiet and peaceful from the street, and that was during kings day celebrations, and it was vey lively in the streets outside. Great location for visiting Leiden. Coffee maker in room, it a frig would have been nice as well. Nice storage area for clothes etc, but it was really dark in that corner with no lights there. Also some of the lamps/ bedside lighting not working. Breakfast option was unclear; we were told at check in just to,show up if we wanted it, then we’re told in morning they were “ booked up” and we had to go find it outside. Not a huge problem….. but then the next day we said we would be there and the breakfast room was locked while we and the delivery person waited for someone to come. When she did arrive it was all fine, busy traffic issue. So really the issue is that they did not have a staff person on the premises. That would have made various small issues easier to resolve. May be a staff shortage issue that places are still dealing with….

Great staff and location
Reviewed By OnTheGo2000Perfect location for exploring Leiden. Staff were very friendly and exceptionally helpful during our stay. Nice room and lovely breakfast. As recommended by the hotel staff, we used the Haagweg parking which was very easy with fast dropoff and pickups from the hotel. Would definitely recommend to others.

Whilst the setting and the building is great, the staff - who, let's face it, often "make" the place are terrible, arrogant and unhelpful. If this place is taken over by someone else and is overhauled, I'll go back

Boutique Hotel Rembrandt is a small hotel with twenty rooms and located in the middle of the historical centre of Leiden, with views over Molen de Valk and the Oude Singel. Various museums like the Lakenhal, Boerhaave and the Hortus Botanicus are nearby. Five minutes walk from Leiden Central Station and the heart of the city. Great for shopping and dining all within walking distance. The beach of Noordwijk and Katwijk is only 8 km distance from the hotel.

Reviewed By St1KThe hotel is cozy with small little details in the center of Leiden. The room was very quiet and the bed comfortable. Nice would have been more devices for storing luggage, like a luggage holder. The breakfast is quite tasty and the atmosphere nice.

Zentral gelegen, aber nichts wenn man schlafen will
Reviewed By Relax18581538115Hotel mitten in der Altstadt von Leiden. Wenn man ein Zimmer Richtung Gracht hat, hat man einen schönen Ausblick. Leider kann man nur wenig schlafen. Bis mitten in die Nacht hört man die Gäste der Restaurants und morgens ab 6:30 Uhr wird der Markt aufgebaut, die Müllabfuhr kommt , die Straßenreinigung, Lieferverkehr….. Im Hotel bekommt man sogar Gehörstöpsel gegen den Krach. Für einen längeren Aufenthalt ist das Hotel nicht geeignet. Es gibt keine Schränke! Man muss also aus dem Koffer leben. Das Badezimmer sieht schön aus, aber es ist nicht funktionell. Das Wasser der Dusche läuft nicht in Richtung Abfluss sondern in Richtung Türe. Im Waschbecken läuft das Wasser nur langsam ab. Schminken ist wegen schlechter Beleuchtung auch schwer möglich. Der einzige Spiegel befindet sich im Bad. Ein Abfalleimer im Zimmer wäre gut. Die Küche ist ok. Leider gibt es keinen Esstisch. Das Zimmer wurde täglich gereinigt. Man sollte keine Bewegungseinschränkung haben. Die Treppen sind sehr eng und steil! Wenn man sich an den vorgenannten Punkten nicht stört, ist das Hotel sehr zu empfehlen.

Very charming hotel
Reviewed By gabriellab476Stayed in The Rose for a week for business. Having read the other reviews, and looked at the website, I was sceptical but I was very pleasantly surprised. If one want a "home" feel, rather than an ordinary hotel room, in centre of Leiden, I'd say this is perfect. The room, number six, was very charming and felt newly renovated. It felt like interior items have been hand picked for the room which I like. The only thing I missed was a full length mirror. The bed was super comfy and the shower was good. I'd definitely come back. However, I do agree with the other reviewers that it's not an hotel for people with difficulty getting up and down from steep stairs nor for very tall people.

Reviewed By mario fHo pernottato in questa struttura a maggio 2016 prenotando con Booking.com, mi sono state addebitate dal gestore il giorno della prenotazione 40 euro in più e mai più restituite,la camera era puzzolente,il proprietario molto scortese,le scale con due rampe di scale molto ripide per non parlare del letto che cigolava ogni volta che ti muovevi, il bagno sporco e privo di manutenzione ordinaria, evitate questo b&b che cambia nome frequentemente, ora si chiama Cigaretten and Coffee mentre prima era Bedandbike De Haven, se non volete un sacco di rogne. Dovrò rivolgermi ad un avvocato per recuperare altri 100 euro addebitatemi perché a suo dire gli avrei rotto la tavoletta del cesso e buttato un rotolo di carta nel water,è una gran brutta persona state alla larga.
