This tradition was previously a test for a boy whether he may join the war or not. Today, we can ask our local tour guide to arrange it.
If you are travelling in a group, it is better to combine this attraction with traditional dances, such as Fataele a.k.a. War Dance and Tari Sekapur Sirih.

The beach just formed in 2004/2005 after mega earth quakes. The rock formation was coral reef. A photographer will love this place, especially in afternoon.
This place is also the entry point for snorkeling. Facility is still minimum, there are some descent food stalls with limited choice of food and drink.

Hash and Family Surf Camp meat to stay and make people happy , That is what we do best . The hotel is operated by Hasrat Wau and his lovely family . Love the best view of the Bay, and to the Point Indicators. We are the best hotel of the Bay because we have the best rooms, hot water bathrooms, food, views and service like no other on the Lagundry Bay. We are bound by friendship and love for all of humanity and our home, Sorake Beach. It's all too easy to stay with us and be happy!
You can't beat hashs for location, accommodation, or service when at sorake. Hash makes you a part of his family while you're there and there's a reason people staying at other places come to eat and drink in the bar there. It's easily the best view of the wave.

Wunga Island is one of the most beautiful Islands in Nias, which has an amazing lagoon created after the earthquake which hit Nias last 2005. There are many good spots for snorkeling, Freediving around this island. This island doesn't have facilities on it, so camping is the best solution when visiting this lovely island, however, there are some fishermen's huts you can stay if you don't have tents.

This small island is worth to be visited. It has a long white sandy beach, great reef, and inhabited. But the facilities is still limited. It is suggested to bring your own needs when going there. A good spot for island hopping, sunbathing, swimming, snorkeling, freediving and fishing. It takes 4 hours from the main town of Gunungsitoli

While the point gets most of the surfers happy, it´s Indicators that will challenge your skills. This wave breaks hard on dry reef and is only surfed by highly talented surfers when the conditions allow. When it´s on its a massive top to bottom barrel without the crowds of the point.
