I was exiled to the Royal Arsenal Riverside about a year ago. Now, I had been coming to the farmers market for years and it was originally in a building by the Taproom. Now it's been relocated to Artillery Square the taproom is still there. The recent renovation works has created a clean vibrant gardened square outside. So, as it was a nice Saturday we decided beer and piazza for lunch. I frequent the beer part frequently and was always amazed at the piazza's coming out of the kitchen So toady we tried them. First things first beer. There is always a great selection of beers on tap, and the staff are happy to offer a tasting if you are unfamiliar. The selection of piazza's is excellent. All dietary tastes catered for. I went off piste a little. A red pepper pesto with globe artichoke and lemon zest. Superb. Jo, a Chorizo. again superb. As a well known celebrity chef says. Use good ingredients and keep it simple. It works. Can see me frequenting the Taproom more, and they aven offer a take out service.

Went for a family meal on Sunday 5th and was late lunch sitting at 245. Service was excellent and waiters really looked after us well. Food selection is really good and the quality of the food we had was great. The Calzone was excellent albeit huge and the Lasagne was very nice. Plenty of other dishes to choose from as well and would not hesitate to come back again.

This pub itâs lovely, cozy and friendly atmosphere. Food and drinks are nice and the staff itâs very helpful. We were served by Yaros and she was amazing. Living in Upton Park might feel a million miles away from the trendy east end locals of Dalston and Hackney Wick..... But meet the Red Lion High Street South, great ambience, great staff Alesandro was a great bar tender along with the great girls.Music was a mix of modern classics, very chilled and relaxed night. Highly recommended if you want to feel like in the trendy east end and actually in upton park.

We ate here tonight, staying at a nearby hotel, as my husband is doing Ride London tomorrow. We booked ahead for a 6:30 table and we were looking forward to it having read the reviews.On arrival we stood by the bar by the entrance door, ignored for several minutes until finally getting shown to our table. A grumpy waiter gave us menus and left us and despite trying to catch the eye of someone we got no attention at all for 30 minutes. When we finally managed to attract their attention grumpy waiter returned and grudgingly took our order, we had changed our initial thoughts of two courses to one bowl of pasta each so we could eat quickly and leave. We ordered drinks and given it was a very warm night and one of us is cycling 100 miles tomorrow, as were most people eating there tonight, we ordered a jug of tap water. The drinks were literally plonked in the table - my glass of red was incorrectly brought as a glass of white, given the waiter banged the drinks down and left I didnât have the strength to try and get what I had actually ordered. The tap water never materialised.The food itself was good, hearty portions, for me too much sauce for the pasta but tasty. After a lengthy wait for the bill we left and wouldnât return. The waiter seemed to realise the service had been poor and did make a kind of apology, but really it was a bit late for that. They had clearly overbooked due to all the cyclists in the area, greedy for the business perhaps, but were giving substandard service to everyone. Very disappointed, would not recommend and wouldnât go back.

Have been going to this restaurant for many years now and have always loved the experience. My daughter and partner took me there for Mother's Day last week and as always had a great time. The food was superb and very good portions too, the service as always was very good and the atmosphere is always brilliant. Will highly recommend this place to everyone.

I've visit La barrique more then couple of times now. I usually visit with family or friends because the place has lovely atmosphere. The staff working there provides Excellent service and is friendly. I recommend this place to everyone as it suits all people. The pizzas there are the best so I always keep on comming back. When I went there couple of times I was few times welcomed and looked after by Elena. She knows how to provide Excellent customer service. Staff like that should be everywhere.
