Nice but not 5 star

We stayed here for a week at the end of May. First impressions when entering the hotel lobby were good, check in was quick snd we were shown to our rooms up on the 3rd floor. We had booked sea view rooms and weren't disappointed, the view was amazing! The room itself was very clean and equipped with everything you needed. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis so the contents of the fridge weren't included but we did get a complementary bottle of water, tea and coffee was included. Breakfast was good, buffet style with everything you could want gor a good breakfast. Can't comment on lunch or dinner but did hear a couple of people say it was very samey each day. The gardens are very well kept but the pool area could do with a bit of maintenance. In places around the pool the ground is quite uneven with broken tiles. There are lots of sun loungers and some of these need replacing, broken wheels and slats which meant you couldn't adjust them to how you wanted. The hotel itself is a little way out of Coral Bay, you could walk it in about 20/30 mins or you can get the bus outside the hotel for 1.50 euros. There is also a supermarket and Legends bar across the road. The last day of our hols we asked if we could keep a room, we couldn't stay in the one we had had all week but we could move to a different one at a cost of 58 euros. If you are all inclusive be warned that on check out your wristband is cut of you and you are given a card that you use to get food and drink but only up untill 6pm, so if you have a late flight home you won't get dinner! I witnessed this happen to people as I was checking out. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Family holiday

We stayed in the apartments from Tuesday 24th to Saturday 28th May and returned after a weeks stay in a villa for a further 3 days. Our first stay we were in a studio apartment- quite basic but clean, had everything we needed for self catering. Views from our balcony were beautiful. Philippous supermarket across the road, also a coffee shop and eating establishments - all excellent. The staff in the apartments were very friendly and allowed us to leave our suitcases in storage whilst we awaited our taxi to the villa. Pool area was great, the kids & adults loved it. It also had a pool bar were drinks and excellent food could be ordered. The lady who ran it was lovely. On our 2nd stay the apartment was alot smaller but not as well equipped as the first one. We were based at the front of the apartments so alot more noise due to traffic. On the Saturday & Sunday they held 2 functions within the restaurant area - very noisy but music was turned off at 11.30 Saturday & 12.15 Sunday. We would definitely stay here again as your a 5 min walk from the strip in Coral Bay, 10 min walk from the beach. Every restaurant we used on the strip, the food was fantastic couldn't fault the service we received. There were 8 in our party which included 2 children.

Good food...

We ate lunch here in early February. The food was very good as was the service. Unfortunately, having agreed with the hotel that we might return for lunch the following day, when we turned up we were told that the kitchen was closed. This was really disappointing. So, good food if you can get in!!

Panareti Coral Bay Resort

Not 4 star but still enjoyed our stay!

Reviewed By Happiness26269461156

We have just returned from a weeks stay at Panaretti and I will be honest, when we first arrived I was horrified by our room it was so dated and wasn’t the most clean. The hotel is very tired and run down. The next morning I asked for a room change and we was upgraded to a one bedroom which was much better, still very tired but the receptionist was very helpful and the cleaners are very friendly. The pool and restaurant were very good. Sun-loungers do need updating as they are uncomfortable but they do the job! We used the bus service a lot it costs €1.50 single into coral bay and the same into Pafos, the bus stop is about a 10 minute walk away (we walked out the back of the hotel - much quicker) you can also purchase a day pass for €5 which we did when we went to the waterpark. This was very handy but you can walk to a supermarket which is about a 20 minute walk I wouldn’t use the mini market at the hotel as there isn’t much in there! The beach is a 5 minute walk again walk out the back of the hotel, the beach is amazing and so picturesque we also found a lovely restaurant on route. Some of the reviews on here are a little bit brutal, I wouldn’t say the hotel is a 4 star anymore but we enjoyed ourselves and had a lovely holiday. We would come back here but would suggest the hotel having a bit of a revamp I can imagine in its prime this hotel was amazing!

Don’t visit with families, children. Not an all inclusive. Not worth the money you will spend due to lack of services.

This hotel is not catering for children. No choice of fresh hot snacks. After complaining chicken nuggets/ fish fingers where available but in a hot plate uncovered. Hot snacks was mostly left over food from breakfast most times. Food left uncovered and flies was all over it. The night menu again no choice for kids…. Only offered fish fingers or chicken nuggets (half cooked) My kids didn’t eat much, I over spent feeding them outside the hotel at a further cost if you are going here take more money to feed your children. Place was dirty and in need of a refurb.. Carpets all stained, air conditioning was rubbish. Rooms basic. The strip is small but has beautiful food.. coral beach is a lovely area but this hotel lets it down

The manager is strange.

Reviewed By jessica942022

Now unlike the other reviews my stay wasn't too bad. The apartment was pretty nice and spacious and looked clean. My only real problem was the manager, a man named Afnan who was overly friendly to the point of unprofessionalism and at times creepiness. You have to understand that at the beginning everything was okay, like yes the reception was super run down and the TV didn't work but these were things I didn't plan on visiting or using a lot. Now when me and my sister first met him, he seemed like a nice guy someone who I thought might be a bit lonely, but the red flags didn't start until me and my sister were a bit lost at night and I had asked for the taxi number he'd recommended to us earlier that day using the phone number he gave me. It was all normal stuff during that whole thing, but when we had arrived back at the hotel he'd started messaging me late night talking about himself and send pictures. After that he asked me what time me and my sister would be going to bed and waking up and at the time I thought well he must be asking because he probably wants to turn off the electricity and stuff ( the hotel has a key in which the electricity can be turned off when taken out of its socket and the shower has a switch which turns off the heating) so I lied and told him I would be awake until 4am as I had exams next week and was therefore studying and wake up at 8am (something which looking back on the next day made incredibly paranoid to the point I had put a chair in front of the door) . So I went to sleep a little unsettled but not too alarmed, it was only the next day when things really ramped up. He'd sent me a good morning message and later that afternoon asked whether I would want some of the food he was making, I said no as I thought it incredibly weird but he was strangely insisting even after I had told him I would be unable to walk to his apartment (which was next to the reception office) due to the sprained ankle I had from waking around in the dark the day before and told me he would just bring it over. Later that day when my light broke and I had to text him to come and replace it, he was again super insisting with his offer to which I again said no. He kept loitering about in my apartment, and offered me painkillers so I could walk to his apartment for the food and wanted ne to take a walk him outside. When I told him no again he replied that my sister had already taken up the offer of food which not only me infuriated me with her but also with him as he clearly told me this to imply I had no choice but to go to his place. That night I walked my sister over to receive the food, when we arrived he had wanted us to dine with him as he thought the walk back too cold, I declined his offer and told him we were used to much colder weather in fact and that it was only a short distance away. I could tell he was not happy with that answer from his face and after gathering the food quickly said our goodbyes and walked back. The next day and after speaking with my mother I had decided that his text were indeed creepy and too invasive, after all I had come to Cyprus to bond with my sister and not too involve a stranger in my affairs after which I ignored all his texts including the good mornings (he even questioned why I hadn't said a good morning back to him as if it were a requirement or demand) and questions for my whereabouts unless I needed him which luckily was only once after. After my my last day when I had finally returned to the UK (the day after), I saw he'd sent another a good morning which I also ignored. The day after that he asked me how I was and after confirming with my sister done the same to her. I'm unsure whether he will continue with these but we collectively decided to ignore or block him. I'm unsure whether he truly was just overly friendly and lonely but considering he'd also put us in the only apartment block with no people when the other holiday residents were together I wasn't in a position to not be cautious myself.
