On our 1st night in Salzburg we decided to be guided by TripAdvisor reviews and chose Meet2Eat, the reviews are true it's fantastic!Located near the airport on the main road to Innsbruck , surrounded by car dealerships, it's about 3km out of central Salzburg. We chose to arrive by public bus the number 180 from the central station HBF and returned on the N2 trolley bus, journey time about 20 mins cost â¬2.40. Use the Karolingerstr stop. We had reserved online and we were greeted by then very friendly staff when we arrived at 1830. We chose to sit out outside in a covered area. There is a comprehensive menu, my wife chose a duck with Cumberland sauce starter and I chose a smoked fish with avocado. Superb - genius portion , lovely salad and dressing accompaniment. This was followed by both of us choosing get the tenderloin / fillet steak with a pepper sauce again a generous portion with garden vegetables and noisette potatoes. The best steak we have had in many years, cooked to perfection. Dessert was a very comprehensive selection of local cheese and a creme brûlée with orange sorbet and fruits. The restaurant also has a very friendly and most helpful sommelier who recommended an excellent local wine to compliment the meal. All staff were extremely friendly , helpful and efficient, and spoke excellent English as my German is lacking . The meal with pre dinner drinks was â¬150 , good value for the quality and overall experience. We plan to return during our stay .

A trip to Salzburg wouldn't be complete without a visit to the Augustiner. Great food, great beer, and great prices...what more could you ask? And all for a great cause to support the Augustiner monks. Don't miss this spot for a wonderful dinner with locals who know this is the place to eat.

Having read the reviews here, I booked this for our last night in Salzburg.I dislike writing negative reviews, especially when they are negative about staff, but I feel like very few of the other reviews covered the full tasting menu and wine matching â¬250+ per person.If we had just had a glass or bottle of wine, steaks and deserts I am sure it would have been a nice.Unfortunately we chose the tasting menu and it was not even close to being worthwhile.To give you context, we (my wife, son and me) eat out 365 days a year all over the world and in the last 10 years have lost track of the Michelin meals we have had, somewhere between 1000 and 2000.The young man serving as our waiter seemed nice enough, but unfortunately was woefully undertrained - even for a casual dinner. When he poured the first glass of red wine for my wife he splashed it all over the table and us, as he had finished the bottle. No apology or any acknowledgement he just walked off. We thought he went to find another bottle to finish pouring the glass which was way under and something for us to wipe off the drops of wine, but no.Not once across the wine pairing did he manage to pour without dripping on the table and down the side of the glass. When the Pinot was oxidized, he just walked off with my glass and didnât return.Then the food. Each course was nice, nothing special, but nice. Nothing stood out at all unfortunately - pretty much every course was a piece of fish or meat, small vegetable pieces, some gel and a sauce poured on the side of it at the table - after two of them we were bored, but the same thing just kept coming. Balance in the dishes was hit and miss - many of them being too creamy/rich, without any acidic balance.There are Michelin and near-Michelin restaurants all over the world at much better prices for much better food.(I thought about writing to management, but experience says nothing will be done at all, so would rather just warn you and if people start leaving honest reviews, then management will have to start listening).Dear family!Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that you didn't have a satisfying experience in our venue.May we ensure you, that we take written and spoken feedback very seriously and listen carefully. If the weather is good it is a lovely location to sit outside to have lunch or brunch facing the mountains. However very limited menu. I suggest to go there for brunch as they have an extensive buffet selectionThank you very much for your review and the suggestions you have done.The menu is limited because we everything we offer is Fresh and therefore we Keep it smaller. ;-)

We'd strolled past this restaurant a few times during our stay in lovely Bad Reichenhall and were put off by the dark window display featuring an alligator, but by some quirk we found ourselves giving this happy place a chance and had a great evening there.This is hard for me to say, but I just couldn't finish my steak meal; it was that large a piece of gorgeous beef.My lovely companions each enjoyed different choices as the menu is pretty comprehensive, and the beer and wine were flowing so naturally our evening at the B306 was destined to be a jolly affair and this was enhanced by the American style decoration and hugely by the enthusiastic, helpful waiting staff.This establishment is not short staffed; we were served by at least 3 different people, but each of them were amusing, positive and - again - so helpful. Their command of English was embarrassingly good, their expertise and menu knowledge almost perfect. One of our group found a vegan-style menu item hard to find and it needs to be understood that this is steakhouse, although there are other tasty choices, but meat does rule here. I wish we'd found this steakhouse earlier in our stay but the outside decor did put us off, unreasonably on our part as it turned out.If you're in the locality, do try B306. The obvious enthusiasm of the staff need to be encouraged and it is nice to eat in a cafe/restaurant that obviously treats its staff well.

We had a huge Platter for two with different meat (veal, pork and chicken), vegetables, potato dishes and fruits...also they served 4 different sauces with it. We could not manage it, as it was way too much. The price for this platter for two was very reasonable with EUR 31! Also it was very delicious. We went there twice and it was absolutely worth it. We really recommend this restaurant. The service personnel is very friendly and they are quick with serving the meal.
