We have been in this restaurant several times in holidays.I must say that we perceive a change in food, first courses SUPERB! Main courses like...HEAVEN! Applause for Parmegiana, simply perfect, like the original from Naples, and roasted octopus. I and my daughters we have seen a chef with glasses and black italian flag uniform in the hall, i remember him! Reflects the cleanliness of the restaurant. Dankuwel, see ya soon.

We ate at this resturant and really enjoyed the food the choice of food offered is varied and of an excellant quality.We enjoyed the fish and seafood options and the Strwberrys with white choclate were amazing

This place was rated well on TA so we thought we would try it.When we arrived at about 7.45 it was empty, but we thought âwell itâs early yetâ so we sat down.The staff were very nice and we were given complimentary Prosecco and small amuse vouches while we scanned the menu.We ordered bruschetta between us which was simply quartered plum tomatoes on toast....no other herbs or oils.... we thought âhow rustic and quaint!â And politely ate that.We then ordered a mixed fish som potatoâs frittata and mixed salads.The salads and chips arrived reasonably soon and we tried a few chips...which were good! However we then waited half an hour for the fish, by which time we had eaten all the chips!All the time only one other couple had come in. Another family came in, sat down and looked at the menu, then got up and left! Bad sign!!!We had deserts, which were tasty but tiny!The red wine was ok, not great and gave us a hangover this morning!There were one or two other niggles....no balsamic vinegar for the salad. They brought a glaze! One of the fish was missing from the mixed fish and there were no waiting staff in the room while we ate, so we couldnât get anything we needed! Not a good way to run a restaurant!!!To top it off, they couldnât get their card machine to work, so we had to scrape the 100 Euro together from what we had in cash! It was a lot of money for what we had.I think I would give this one a miss on balance!

Astonishing location - being probably the only restaurant in the area where you can dine sinking your your feet in the sand...litterarly! - delicious food and relaxing candle-light atmosphere. Even the bill was fair enough at the end of the day...with the exception of that compulsory 15% service charge which - though clearly stated on the menu - I found tacky if not rude and even more unacceptable against a service which was just on an everage standard. What a faux pas!...a shame and definitely not our Italian style.

A very nice restaurant,located in Villasimius. The restaurant has nice food and nice staff, equaling to a nice visit. But I would strongly advise an early arrival as it is very popular. For smokers, the restaurant provides a sheltered external area on the outside which is not prohibited from smoking.

We were in Sardinia in May and hadn't appreciated that your average Sardinian doesn't emerge from hibernation until June! Consequently, most restaurants were closed or on limited opening hours. Il Saraceno is a hotel as well and open all year. It was also within a twenty minute walk of our villa so we decided to give it a try.The restaurant is upstairs and with an open balcony or an enclosed section. Both have great views. We chose indoors. There was no shortage of tables as, I suspect, the hotel was far from full at this time of year and local villas were not yet occupied. There were two other tables in use, besides the five of us.The menu was extensive so there was no shortage of choice. We all found dishes that we fancied and also wine and other drinks to suit us.The food delivered to our table was attractive, tasty and generous in quantity. We all enjoyed our dishes and there was also enough for us to try what others had chosen as well. At the end we felt we had been well fed.The total for the five of us, food as well as drinks, came to 231 Euros, so not unreasonable for the meal we had had. However, oddly, the tab listed *every* item as "Ristorante", so we had no record of what each of us had eaten and drunk. Still the length of the list looked right and the price about what we were expecting so I don't think there was anything underhand going on.

Unfortunately we arrived hungry after travelling all day. We saw most people had pizza but we chose from the menu which wasn't a good move as the pasta and the Fregola were very average when you compare what we've had in Sardenia since our arrival. I think if you stick to Pizza you will be OK. House wine is great and really well priced.
