Our South African friend recommended this as a must visit place to eat. We were a bit sceptical when we arrives as it's a no frills restaurant in the middle the shopping mall, as opposed to the water front. I'm so glad our first impressions were wrong. The wait staff were friendly and the food came out quickly. I had the prawns and couldn't believe how big the plate was and for such a reasonable price. It was a delicious meal. My friends had sushi and tempura mixed plate and they also loved it.

Ate here a few times and the food was always tasty. They tend to take a bit of time though so don't go there too hungry.

We had dinner at Sake on Friday night. The dinner was dissapointing, I have eaten at Sake several times this was the least satisfying experience. This was the last time that I will eat at Sake. You have far better options to eat at in other areas of Cape Town?

At Simply Asia Paddocks weâre proud to offer a unique Thai dining experience, with food prepared by our chefs and a menu packed full of delicious dishes to satisfy a wide range of palates.
Comfortable enough location and friendly waiters. We went on Friday evening. Seems like the kitchen was in frenetic mode despite the fact that there were few diners. But there are lots of takeaway orders which people then picked up. We ordered sushi and chicken spring rolls for starters. Enjoyable sushi but dismal spring rolls. They were mostly pastry - so thick - and hardly any filling. What a let-down! Makes me want to make my own spring rolls the next day to expunge from my taste buds this travesty. Mains were small portions so you do need to order starters to satisfy your hunger. Unless you eat like the supermodels! The Thai Green Curry Pesto Noodles had about three little pieces of chicken in it and tasted really mediocre. My noodle main course, while tasting better than the Green Curry was also far from remarkable. Probably because I am Asian myself and know these flavours that the dinner left me rather disappointed.

The food at Sake is always fresh and quickly prepared, but it is certainly not the best quality. The sushi pieces are inconsistently made, and the fish-to-rice ratio is often a little off. But having said that, it is really affordable and tasty. Great for a quick lunch if you are in the area. Every time we've been, the service has been really good too.

O what a night!!Prim Reddy - Thank you.Our son chose The Indian Chapter restaurant in Bloubergstrand when we visited him. What a surprise when the owner Prim walked in and joined our table. We had so much conversation, so much laughter. The food was super special, so flavourful. We cannot wait to get back there for another meal.We ordered 5 different meals for the table after starters, and loads of red wine.We then shared the food to get a bite of every taste.Don't be scared of hot or spicy, it is hot and spicy but you won't die and because it's cooked properly and with love there is no "morning after" effects. You get the taste buts to wake up and bit of burning around the lips. An experience worth every drop of sweat. Thank you Prim and we will be back. â¤ï¸â¤ï¸

Expect Only The Finest Ingredients, Freshly Prepared By Real Thai Chefs
Wang Thai has been a long standing birthday outing for my husband and I. We first went to Wang Thai in Green Point over 12 years ago. As we both love Thai food this restaurant delivered on every level. Authentic decor, authentic taste and beautiful presentation. When it closed down a few years ago we were reluctant to try another Wang Thai for fear of being disappointed. However after our first visit to the Lagoon Beach Wang Thai we felt like we had come home. The same excellent service, the same delicious food. While my husband sticks to the chicken green curry because he says it is simply the best and having been to Thailand himself I trust his word on that, I love to try different dishes and have not once been disappointed. This most recent visit I tried the curry and roti which was a bowl of the green curry and a bowl of the yellow curry with scrumptious roti triangles. We usually have a starter and main and can highly recommend the spinach cones. It's so much fun to roll your own choice of fillings in fresh spinach leaves. From lemongrass and peanuts to chilli, toasted coconut and ginger, it's a real taste extravaganza each time you try a different combo. This time we did dessert and my deep fried bananas with creamy vanilla ice cream drizzled with honey and sesame seeds was absolutely wonderful. Neville looked after us very well and we had a really great evening. Their menu is extensive and they have tasty cocktail and mocktails. 2 thumbs for Wang Thai!!

Our waitress Andy was delightful and knowledgeabl, the restaurant manager Flo was amazing and charming. The food was world class, we came from Switzerland and especially booked here to experience what we had heard so much about.Beautifully prepared imaginative menu with superb wine pairing. As in all establishments the chef/owner normally appears sometime during the course of the service for a short exchange with his guests, but Matt spent the entire evening talking with his regular customers and ignored the rest, he came past us and looked me straight in the face, I said âgood eveningâ and he turned tis nose up and walked purposefully away!My whole party were shocked and quite disgusted at this extremely rude and arrogant behaviour, and the people we were dining with who have just moved to the Cape have vowed never to return again! What a shame!Matt; you should stay at home or meet your friends elsewhere and leave the people sponsoring your lifestyle to enjoy their meals without suffering your arrogance,Thank you for the splendid review on the food, we are an incredibly passionate bunch, obsessed a bit , who love to get creative with the flavour combinations and wine pairings, and I believe that this love is what you experienced with us. I am pleased that you had such a great experience and that you received great service from Andy and that Flo made you feel welcome. I visit almost every table every night, balance working in the kitchen, the bar supporting my front of house team and tending to my guests- this can be intense sometimes. Sitting with my guests is my favourite part of the enjoyment of doing what I do, and welcoming guests into my home(spun) is at the top of my list. Iâm really sorry that I didnât sit with you. Next time you come I would love to join you, but only if you have a tequila with me
