My husband and I had a great time pike fishing with Pascal in Interlaken. Pascal was very quick to reply to my emails, which made it easy and conveneinet for me to plan. He picked us up, and took us to his boat, which was also very convenient. He is a very knowledgeable guide and he knows the sport of pike fishing extremely well. If you choose to do this, I would DEFINITLEY recommend taking a pike fishing lesson before going for a half day (or full day) of fishing if you are inexperienced and have never been pike fishing before. Also, I would be sure to wear layers, and bring a pullover and a jacket. Once you get moving quickly on the boat or when you are in the shade, the air can be a bit chilly. My husband fished from about 8am-2pm and we were able to catch two pike. The views from the lake are unbeatable!

This ruined castle is fascinating, it was built in the 1200s and is quite well preserved. You can walk around and read panels in English.
The site is free to get in and open at all times. The walk there is picturesque walk there too.
There are also other free ruined Castles in the vicinity, including Restiturm, Rothenfluh (very close by) and Weissenau.

Wow
They put on a really enjoyable evening, lovely food, music, dancing, a smorgasbord of sweets and the traditional Baeren finale of the Cow bell ringers to welcome the new year. The new owner knows how to throw a party. Yes it was worth it, but at the price I wont be doing it again!

Mann kann direkt vor der Galerie parkieren. Die Kunstwerke sind in einer zweistöckigen Galerie ausgestellt. Die Galerie zeigt hochwertige Gegenwartskunst. Die Galerieinhaberin Joséphine Fischer hat uns ebenfalls Einblick in das grosse Atelier gewährt und uns Auskunft über die Pigmentsammlung gegeben. Ich kann die Galerie auf jeden Fall empfehlen!

There's not much left of this ruined castle, however there is an info board in English to explain the site, which was built in 1200's into the side of the cliff.
It is an interesting site which is free and open at all times.
There are also other free Castles nearby in more complete states, including Unspunnen (very close by), Weissenau and Restiturm.

Der Atomsichere Bunker oberhalb Wilderswil kann auf Vorreservation besichtigt werden. Er wurde 1972, also in der Zeit des kalten Krieges erbaut und vor wenigen Jahren entklassifiziert. Der Verein IG Bödeli-Werke unterhält nun diese Anlagen und versucht diese für die Nachwelt zugänglich zu erhalten.
Der Bunker ist vor allem für Historiker und "Militär-Fan's" ein Besuch wert und doch sehr eindrücklich das noch vor so kurzer Zeit solche Anlagen im Geheimen gebaut wurden.
