Port Colborne (2016 population 18,306) is a city on Lake Erie, at the southern end of the Welland Canal, in the Niagara Region of southern Ontario, Canada. The original settlement, known as Gravelly Bay, dates from 1832 and was renamed after Sir John Colborne, a British war hero and the Lieutenant Governor of Upper Canada at the time of the opening of the (new) southern terminus of the First Welland Canal in 1833.

Love the promenade. You can go for a nice walk, shop at some great stores along West Street and then stop for a treat at the wonderful Green Apple Coffee House.

I took the boat trip out to the lighthouse during Canal Days. It's a fun adventure but not necessarily suited to everyone. To get to the top of the lighthouse, you have to climb up quite vertical ladders. And the walk-about at the top is narrow with a low railing. You don't have to go to the top but it's the highlight of the visit.

We are a locally owned and operated lavender farm. We have successfully planted 7,000 lavender plants in the 2020 season, planting at both Port Colborne and Ridgeway farms. We are excited for the 2021 season, as we will be able to give tours displaying last year's successful planting season!
