A room with a view
Reviewed By barwillyOur glam tent accommodation with terrific bathroom was a treat. My daughter had a tummy bug and Ralph the owner quickly got us to our room and she was in bed soon after arrival. Our river safaris here were wonderful with an abundance of wildlife. Lots of splashing in the river overnight so I suspect the hippos were coming ashore. I wasn’t getting out of bed to check! The deck over the river was a great place to relax.

Great place to stay on the Caprivi. Beautiful rooms and lovely camp sites with grass and private ablutions.
Reviewed By jennyi96An absolutely wonderful stay at a Lodge on the Okavango River run by a wonderful family. The staff are incredibly helpful, the service is excellent and the food was wonderful (large portions so beware). Definitely would like to return for a longer stay

Tambuti Lodge has 8 clean whitewashed en-suite chalets perched above the Okavango River 50m from the floodplain and a traditional African restaurant. Never flooded and easy access, conveniently located on a small road leading down to the river from the center of Rundu town. The ideal stop before heading to the deeper Kavango and Caprivi.

Reviewed By dgrant116071We only stayed one night but the staff were lovely, the room was very spacious and clean, I really appreciated the bath! The food in the restaurant was very good and service was very good too. The staff were very pleasant and efficient.

Chris and his team were wonderful. Its a must do in the Dlvundu area. Thank you and we will definitely be back for another visit!

Very early New Years night!
Reviewed By Safari55910611732We arrived on New Year’s Eve. No efforts were made in making it special. The food was cold and there was no atmosphere or ambience. No music at all during dinner. Each couple were given a small bottles of sparkling wine to share and plastic champagne glasses.

The large wooden decks over-looking the Okavango River offer a private and idyllic location for those wishing to unwind. You'll find a swimming pool at the main deck to keep everyone cool or allow you to just relax and enjoy the African sun. Book an afternoon sundowner river cruise or a cultural excursion. The area is abundent with birdlife and bird lovers enjoy bird photography to the full during season. Hippo and crocodile are frequent visitors to the floating river bar where idyllic sundowners can be enjoyed with the sights and sounds of Africa.
Nice but overpriced
Reviewed By Ren604Luxury pricing but the tented chalets were comparable to mid-range places we have stayed in the region. Very clean but not in the luxury category. The mosquito net was too small for the bed and we had to jerry-rig it and pin it together. Staff were friendly and accommodated us by bringing dinner to our tent when my husband was feeling unwell. Chalets are overlooking the river but the view was blocked by vegetation. Great views from the bar/resto area though.

Reviewed By S8566GQluisamIf you don’t fancy big hotels or luxurious lodges but prefer the cosy environment of a guest house set in a beautiful environment, definitely this is your place. Very clean detached units or bungalows near the river banks, equipped with basic furniture, hide unexpected facilities which go from air conditioning to a tv-set with a huge choice of international channels. A special mention needs to be reserved to the delicious food served here and the kindness of the owners and the staff. All that at a very affordable price!
