The Airport Inn was built in 1960 as a family home; it was rebuilt in 2000. With a charming setting, welcoming atmosphere and comfortable rooms, the inn is 3 minutes from Piarco International Airport. It is located 5 minutes from the most popular shopping malls in Trinidad, Trincity Mall. If you have an overnight stop then we have the place for you and if you wish to stay longer we would be happy to have you.

Reviewed By Roger TThis is a big house with several bedrooms which the owner rents out. She provides a light continental breakfast. Rooms are clean with private bathrooms in each. I have stayed there a few times because of the central location.

A wonderful experience
Reviewed By peggy430Upon arrival into Port of Spain (Trinidad) airport, I learned that I needed to stay much closer to the airport due to the short stopover in my itinerary. Thankfully, a woman at the information booth called Piarco Village Suites for me. The host & hostess were kind enough to pick up, then drop me off. I had a pleasant restful evening at the "village" which was well kept and very clean. I felt welcome and comfortable, and would recommend Piarco Village Suites to travellers. It was also wonderful to learn from hosts at Piarco about Diwali, a beautiful Hindu celebration of light.

Very Disappointing hotel.
Reviewed By T3295HKlindamNot impressed with this hotel. The staff is a crew of one. The lady that was cleaning was all alone to clean all the hotel rooms by herself! She looked very tired and overworked and was rushing around a lot to get her job done. I stayed here for a week and have not seen any other person cleaning besides this lady. I spoke to the lobby that confirm she is alone. How can a huge hotel like this employ one person to clean all rooms? Where is the labor board for things like this? Does this lady get any time off or vacation??? It's in-human to overworked an individual like this? Regarding the cleanliness of the rooms, since she's on her own, she's trying to keep it at the standard it should be, but, small hiccups here and there, she's not to blame, the HOTEL IS!... This hotel wants cheap labor!!...Never have I gone to any hotel and seen a staff of one!...I hope someone sees this review and report what sort of in-human labor they are doing and insist that there are more than one room cleaners. No-one should work 7 days a week, no wonder she looked so tired and stress!! To the lady that works here, GET OUT, NO ONE NEEDS TO BE OVERWORKED LIKE THIS!!! This hotel is taking advantage of this person, this is truly a Labor board situation, hope my review helps you in some way!!!!

Worn down room, though bed was comfortable and clean - reportedly there are also renovated rooms!
Reviewed By sunny260467We arrived in Trinidad in the evening and had a flight to Tobago the next morning so we needed a place to stay for just one night. This hotel is just a very short drive from the airport so it seemed a good place to stay. Unfortunatly the room was really bad. The carpet was dirty, the curtains were torn down, the bathroom was horrible and it was hot and smelly when we entered. The lady at the reception told us that they also have renovated rooms but that they were fully booked this night. When I booked the room on their website I did not see any renovated rooms otherwise I would have booked one of those, so we had no other choice than to stay in this worn down room. BUT .... we were very surprised because the bed was comfortable, the linen and the towels were white and really clean and the aircondition worked. The lady at the reception was friendly and there is a nice swimming pool where I went swimming the next morning. Because of Covid they do not serve breakfast. So to sum up - the stay was a little better than we expected when we entered the room. If you have to stay here ask for the renovated rooms.

Terrible hotel with rude management
Reviewed By 885jamesWe had a long layover at the Port of Spain (Trinidad) airport and decided to book the Runway Hotel near the airport. The most attractive point was the hotel provides a free shuttle from the airport. This was the first fraud of management. We tried to call the hotel from airport, but nobody replied. We had to take a taxi. The hotel management explained that there was an error on the EXPEDIA website and the hotel does not provide this service. The second fraud was the check-in time. On EXPEDIA website check in is at 14.00. The actual check in time is 15.00. If you want to check in earlier, you have to pay $10 per hour. Despite the fact that vacant rooms are available. The biggest disappointment was in the evening. Upon check-in, we signed a paper with the hotel rules and policies. One of these rules was that quiet hours begin at 9.00 p.m. The loud noise, loud music or loud voices are not permitted. The loud music from the restaurant started from 6.00 p.m. until midnight. According to the hotel policies, we asked to turn the music off. The administrator told us that these rules do not apply to the restaurant, although it is located 20 meters from the lobby and named "Runway". He advised us to leave the hotel in the middle of the night if we were not satisfied the hotel. In this case, we would get a refund. Our room was on the third floor, but the music was so loud that even earplugs didn't help. We really regret staying at this hotel. We just want to warn that you will not repeat our mistake.

Reviewed By howarda202This is a great place for business travelers. Safe, comfortable and clean. Staff are friendly but could be a little more helpful. It's close to the airport, literally walking distance. The hotel offers a paid shuttle but it has to be booked way in advance. A taxi is $10 U.S. Which seems a little high considering the short distance.
