Luss Pier

its a small village, located on the shores of lake. From first sight it seems as a touristic place, where you can create best ever pictures about paradise. Sure it depends on weather, but we were lucky. Shops, restaurants, bars, pier, walks, beautiful panoramas and friendly people that all makes this place unique. Houses made from stones and rocks. There are parkings in the village for tourists so no worries, where to park a car.

Lovely old church built by Edward Colquhoun in the late 1800's! It has an old Viking Hogback Stone and some very interesting gravestones to look at in the grounds. We were sorry it wasn't open to have a look inside!

We used several village paths on our day out here. Our favourite was the one along the shores of Loch Lomond with stunning views

Luss General Store

I hate shopping. And I certainly wouldn't choose to go shopping on holiday! But the staff here were delightful and came out when they saw me outside with 5 dogs. "Dogs are welcome" I was told as I looked through the window. And when I suggested 5 was a bit much, they came out with doggie treats! As there were 3 of us, we took it in turns to go in (I really did think 5 dogs inside would be a but much). We spent about £150 between us as the things for sale were lovely. None of the nasty holiday tat. This was really gorgeous- a shopping experience that I actually enjoyed!
