Took friends here for lunch it was our third visit. Previously we had found staff friendly and helpful. A table was found no problem and we sat inside. This visit however the staff were unhelpful. We were told we could not sit inside although there were tables free. A table was arranged outside, luckily the rain held off. Service was very slow. So we will be reluctant to visit again.

We were pleasantly surprised by the menu and the good tasting food. We had diner at this place twice in a week during our holiday. The kids enjoyed their meals too.We tried both fish and meat and both variations were very tasteful. Personnel was friendly and service oriented. Pleasant location with view on marina. Nice terrace in case weather is good.

Located in the basement of the medieval Scottish houses this restaurant caters for tourists and as such it is acceptable. Staff is friendly but the dishes are not "above normal". The great vaults have been spoiled by modern paintings.

Incredible how we were treated here. They were friendly but just blatantly lied in our faces. We ordered steak done rare but got shoe sole style steak. The waitress said 'It might seem well done but it's got the structure of a rare steak' and she could actually keep herself from smiling. Unfortunately one of our party heard the chef tells her to say that. When I discretely contacted the place they denied it a,d came up with a complete cock and bull story.Looked nice but looks are deceiving.

We enjoyed every second of our dining experience at Gasterij Rubens! The view is outstanding and the food was incredible! We recommend the Ruben's Steak and Anouk's Springrolls. The waitress was detail oriented and very helpful. We look forward to our next visit and try out the boat picnic package.

At this place, you get good value for money. Simple but tasty dishes at low prices. It is not open until very late. It is called 'the lunch cafe', which is an indication that they focus on lunch type dishes. The lunch plate of eggs with loads of mushrooms is very nice.

Even though there is nothing much for vegetarians, the waiter (I didn't ask his name) was very friendly and suggested good options. He even asked the cook to make some variations in the regular menu to suit our diet. The portions were of good size. Looked like its quite popular with the locals too. They have a nice bar with lot of options.
