Great motel!
Reviewed By TripsteroidAt first glance, from a distance, Motel Bic looks like another strip motels that appear along secondary highways across the continent. But as they say, first impressions can be deceiving, and upon arrival, it quickly becomes clear that this is no ordinary motel. The property is pristine, right down to the white-painted brick and Our room was really a one-bedroom suite with a fridge, microwave, double burner range and a full set of dishes and light cooking utensils. The walls are made of a beautiful white wood, whose fragrance permeates the rooms. The bathroom is modern. The shower water pressure is a bit meek, though. The queen bed was very comfortable and there is plenty of room to relax, dine on the expanding table, or work at the desk in the bedroom. The takeout continental breakfast consisted of yogurt, croissant, Dad’s cookie, coffee or tea and orange juice. The hosts were very pleasant. We were satisfied in every way.

The Auberge is a must for any traveler passing by, an exceptional place that will put you under a spell and beguile you with its intimacy, its warm welcoming way of greeting anyone who comes in, its good-natured ambiance and its reinvented yet natural theatrical environment.

Reviewed By carianmacVictorian/Gothic style. Every space is filled with all sorts of furnishings and bric-a-brac. Not to everyone’s taste but we rather liked it. It made the spaces feel very cosy. We had booked an evening meal in the up-market restaurant that is part of the Auberge and we were somewhat disappointed. The duck breast (for 2) that we had ordered was tough, though the confit was fine. Breakfast the next morning in the same restaurant was good. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Beautiful Auberge
Reviewed By 149JoanneG149The location is great, very central with plenty of parking at the back. There is a nice Cafe for lunch or dinner just next door. The Auberge has three floors and no elevator so if you have heavy luggage, ask for a lower floor. The rooms are plain with individual bathrooms. No luxury here. Free Wifi and TV in each room. Some of the rooms are much larger and have beautiful wide windows.... ask for one of those. Ours had half a window so thank God for the ceiling fan. The Auberge is on a pretty busy street so if your room faces the front, it is noisy. The staff is helpful and friendly. They offer a free continental breakfast in a small area on the first floor. The food is ok and serves the purpose... again nothing fancy. I think it’s a good place if you are passing through, not recommended if you have kids. A continental breakfast is offered....it’s not much but it works.

Reviewed By iledyeu85The best in this Gite is the location which is incredible- Sunsets are so nice on the St Laurent- The house is ver y old, in wood and we have been very well welcome by the owner - the breakfast was great with the view on the St Laurent- it is closed as well from the parks
