Seems to be well-know place as it is quite crowded and even have to wait for the table on Saturday night. Not bad choice of drinks and some western stye dishes. Atmosphere is quite relaxing. Place also provides some performance at the stage with life singing although it was not too exciting. No songs in english. Place looks pretty much as for locals although actually fit foreign guests too.

Obsidian Bar & Grill has a good location in Five Colour City, close to Kaifaqu Station, in Dalian, and it has the kind of burgers that will make you forget you are in China. Western food in the Far East that's hard to beat and good to eat.

We went on a friday night and it was packed with a local and foreign crowd enjoying drinks after dinner. We didn't order any meals but the dessert and beer were good. The band played popular songs from rnb to rock n roll that kept everyone dancing till 12.30 am. If you want to have a quiet drink then there is a beer garden on the street level that is quieter.

Very conveniently located behind Hotel Nikko, this is a great place to eat and meet westerners that live here or happen to be in town!The menu is quite extensive (may be a bit too much!), with all kinds of foods from all kinds of countries. And the beer list is good too!!From my experience, the food is not great, but it is OK, and, surprise â surprise, they serve outstanding mashed potatoes â they make a great appetizer!! And the lamb chops are very good also!!The service is not very attentive â make sure you call their attention if and when you want to be served. And the kitchen is slow too, so come with time!Very eclectic, though sometimes interesting, music! Same with the décor!The atmosphere is excellent, with a good, multi-national crowd. I great place to have a bite and meet with expats, mostly if you are alone in town!!!Phone: 0411-82698293; they are open till 2am.

My favorite thing about this restaurant is the cocktails. They are made well and with good amounts of alcohol. The food is also very good, although the prices are a little steep. It's pretty easy to order and make special requests in English. A few vegetarian options.

Went here with a group from work... sampled many things from both the beverage and food menu. Only dislike was the dark beer on the beer sampler flight. The waterfront location is nice. They have outdoor seating with umbrellas. Almost felt like the Danube.

I had no idea this place existed. The pizza is excellent, the ambience is very good however it was a bit smoky (pretty hard to avoid in China). If youâre looking for some âpieâ and a beer to chill out and relax then I think this is the place to go in Dalian. Iâll definitely be going back for more.Hi Budthespud!
