Dinner at the Metropolis Diner was a multi-layer pleasure. Gerry and his wife (owners) had a dinner special of organic venison and pork burger with large hand cut fries with garlic mayonaise dipping sauce. Being from Texas I am particular about my burgers. The taste and presentation was fabulous. The service and friendliness of the staff exceptional. They are an Irish Pub with an immense selection of beers. Not being a beer drinker myself, I was a little worried and found satisfaction with a gin and tonic.Have lived in China for the last four years, the is a refuge for expats. Large screen s tv, music, and great food. This could become a gathering place for expats.

Very conveniently located behind Hotel Nikko, this is a great place to eat and meet westerners that live here or happen to be in town!The menu is quite extensive (may be a bit too much!), with all kinds of foods from all kinds of countries. And the beer list is good too!!From my experience, the food is not great, but it is OK, and, surprise â surprise, they serve outstanding mashed potatoes â they make a great appetizer!! And the lamb chops are very good also!!The service is not very attentive â make sure you call their attention if and when you want to be served. And the kitchen is slow too, so come with time!Very eclectic, though sometimes interesting, music! Same with the décor!The atmosphere is excellent, with a good, multi-national crowd. I great place to have a bite and meet with expats, mostly if you are alone in town!!!Phone: 0411-82698293; they are open till 2am.

My favorite thing about this restaurant is the cocktails. They are made well and with good amounts of alcohol. The food is also very good, although the prices are a little steep. It's pretty easy to order and make special requests in English. A few vegetarian options.

Nice environment good quality specially the pineapples and seafood screws and fresh pipis for lunch. Drink is not that much choices 7up grape juices apple juices lemons juice cakes are beautiful. For overseas resident are middle class food but chinese top class not adorable

I had no idea this place existed. The pizza is excellent, the ambience is very good however it was a bit smoky (pretty hard to avoid in China). If youâre looking for some âpieâ and a beer to chill out and relax then I think this is the place to go in Dalian. Iâll definitely be going back for more.Hi Budthespud!
