The area of approximately 820 hectares houses a unique ecosystem with a large variety of animals and plants, just 5 kilometers away from Paramaribo. Part of the area has been made accessible as a nature park that will be developed in the coming years with the support of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and other partners into an important destination for nature education and recreation.

We rented bicycle and rode from Paramaribo to the Peperpot Reserve and had a lovely time. Nice, wide road to cycle on and several walking trails. Makes for a very nice outdoor activity.
