A very large, beautiful and well maintained wooden cathedral. The interior is well worth a look with the gorgeous wooden arched ceilings and a big suspended cross at the alter.

Paramaribo is a superb city to explore the local people in their daily walks of life and the colonial Dutch heritage which made the inner city a UNESCO world heritage, the other side of the coin. It’s a true melting pot of people from various ethnicities! It’s a safe place, based on my experience!

Astonishing to come across virtually an entire city made from wood that still constitutes the country's capital. Also a designated UNESCO world heritage site. One can only marvel at the fact that the place is still standing and in such superb condition.
