Untrained and under staffing : Due to the Covid Lack of proper food facilities : The resort is located on an island Poor maintenance & filthy, cluttered poolside area : Weather Insects in room: Nature The resort owners just want to snatch money from the travellers without providing the proper services. How could they charge for something that they are not capable of providing? The resort is pretty good but the price is overwhelming and no way justifies it. Unclean dirty utensils Poorly maintained and mismanaged Only more people were like Salma who was skilled enough and always smiling. Sometimes it felt as if the scarcity was being created and customers only manipulated due to lack of interest and training skills. Only for sense gratification a person goes to a family trip and what's the point if inspite of spending a fortune, you're still dissatisfied!? Better options are available for a lesser price range like Sea Shell resort, Silver Sands Resort. Please don't fall prey to the rosy pictures on their online sites. Toiletries were much much below average standards(like that of a two star hotel) and you must take your own personal care products.

Reviewed By Akash_kP1911. Breakfast menu was a bit shaken..limited options 2. Serves tea,juice in disposables,which is a bit disappointing for the guests. 3. No response from the management even after asking to speak to manager about the issue 4. Nobody from the staff was present in the restaurant while the food was laid out,so basically u have no one to speak to. 5. Coffee was found missing even after asking for the same.

Great staff, poor facilities, terrible location
Reviewed By abuguI booked this hotel because the website said it is a 5 star property. Please don't be fooled by this claim. This hotel is far far away from being a 5 star. The biggest and only positive of this hotel is the staff. They have a brilliant staff let by Mr. Soumya. They are friendly and will always go the extra mile to keep the guests happy. The rooms don't even have intercom and the staff is so sweet that they attend to your mobile phone calls even in the middle of the night to make up for the lack of infrastructure. They also made the effort to decorate our room for honeymoon couple. I truly truly love the staff. Now coming to why I'd still not recommend this hotel. The hotel lacks infrastructure, location is also terrible. Food options are limited, rooms are not in the best state, I got a room with some lights and switches not working, and sometimes top floor rooms leak as well, no intercom in rooms, half the facilities are still under construction, they claim they're a 5 star and their jacuzzi/swimming pool/any other 5 star related facility is still under construction. Even the road to the main entrance is not operational yet and you will have to use a tiny back gate which is the only functional one. I feel the hotel has potential, but claiming to be a 5 star now and charging 5 star rates is nothing but false advertising and a scam!

Joye Grand hotel is situated at beach and it offers you comfortable and luxury stay. All of our rooms are well equipped with modern amenities i.e. Air conditioned rooms, electric tea cattle, refrigerator, hair dryer etc. All the rooms are elegantly designed to offer a soothing experience.

Reviewed By jeroenhosDue to lack of fresh air / natural ventilation the rooms were damp and had lots of mold / mildew on the walls, the pillows, the mattress etc, it made me sick The hygienic standards are very poor: the trash is literally everywhere on the terrain and on the beach. The staff is lazy (they are constantly on their phone) and does nothing about it: sometimes you see them sweeping together a pile of rubbish and then they leave this with the result that it blows everywhere. Also on the beach there is rubbish everywhere while it can be a beautiful location. If the staff serves food on the beach (candle light dinner), they leave all the waste behind. Even when they do repairs, they leave all the residual material and waste behind. The shared toilets remind me of a slum: dirty and poorly maintained. This gives the place a dingy look while it has the potential to become one of the most beautiful places on the island. The responsibility lies with the management: they must train the staff to maintain a certain standard.
