Top 6 Soups food in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada

Reviews on Soups food in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Any city that can be the butt of a Simpson's joke ("That's it! We're all going back to Winnipeg!") and simultaneously one of the most vibrant cultural centers in Canada is tops in our book. The city's history of isolation and self-sufficiency means that Winnipeggers are unpretentious and sincere (and fun-loving enough to name Homer an honorary citizen). Though the winters are long and cold, there are plenty of indoor activities to both keep you warm and stimulate your imagination.

I was taken here for lunch when visiting from the UK. This busy restaurant manages to serve and cope amazingly quickly with nearly all the tables taken! We had a very bright and cheerful server who patiently explained several things on the menu for me.The Cheddar and broccoli soup was wonderful and the Quesadilla was amazing. As for dessert -wow!!Compared to so many other places we had eaten in Canada which were overpriced and poor quality, when I paid the bill I thought I was only being charged for my meal!!Thank you so much for coming such a long way to visit us ;) I will be heading over the pond this month. I hope I get the same great service over there!

While the food was what I expected from the Olive Garden ( although the Alfredo sauce has went downhill in the past few years, it’s easy to tell they are cutting costs with ingredients ) The dining room was filthy - see photos. The glasses on the table were gross and the ceiling And air vent was COVERED in mould. If that’s what the dining room looks like I would hate to see the kitchen and areas the customers can’t see. Won’t be back.

This place is really good. We stayed nearby for an early morning flight and grabbed some dinner here. We were not disappointed. They have quite a selection. A little bit of everything on the menu and we tried many things. The spring rolls were great. The shrimp with 5 spices was great as was the basil chicken. So juicy and tender. We also had the beef soup. A+. Highly recommended.

Halibut was the best! We went with our father from the UK. He said it was just like home. We had the one and two piece halibut dinner Came with homemade chips and coleslaw very light and crispy batter on the fish and very flaky halibut. Mushy peas were very good and hot! Will definitely be back. Waitress was awesome!

Great downtown deli in the heart of the business district of Winnipeg!I have been eating at Nathan Detroit's for over 30 years and it always delivers on fresh and high quality food, generous portions, fast/great service and good value for money. Love the homemade soups. Their extensive menu choices could cater to any palette, offering robust traditional deli fare to lower calorie choices for breakfast and lunch. You can also custom order exactly what you want. Always a nice smile and greeting from the owners Brenlea and Karen which is pretty special. Have used their catering service for business lunches and they are happy to customize a luncheon menu for you. Great energetic vibe and sometimes you may see some of the "who's who" of Winnipeg enjoying a meal in a relaxed environment. Go, try, you won't be disappointed!Thank you for your loyalty all these years! With all the options available to you, it is our honour to welcome you to Nathan’s for both your dine in and catering needs. We really appreciate you taking the time to write such a lovely review and look forward to your next visit!

Haven’t been here for a while and no need to return. Pretty overpriced for breakfast and small portions. We both looked at our plates and said out loud to each other: That’s it?$3.30 for deli coffee? A bland latke that appeared to have been made several days before? Part of our breakfast was actually missing; had to ask for it and repeatedly ask for coffee refills...you know I am going to get my $3.30 worth.Mentioned this to a friend who owns a business in the same mall; it was confirmed that “it isn’t awesome and that makes me sad.”It’s kind of a breakfast in the area so there you go. Hi there, Thanks for visiting us for breakfast and taking the time to review. I’m sorry we fell short of your expectations and would like to address your concerns please. 1) Our portions are quite substantial, and we are told this every day by dozens of customers. This means there must have been a mistake on your order and if that was the case, I hope you’ll accept our apology. 2) the current menu price for a bottomless cup of fair trade, organic and locally roasted coffee is $2.90 which according to our research and experience is a competitive price. We sell about 100 cups per day to satisfied customers.3) I’m sorry that part of your breakfast was missing. Mistakes happen in every restaurant and I sincerely hope the server quickly brought what was missing. 4) There are about 50 people working in the mall, and we serve about 35-40 of them on a daily basis with great reviews and regular referrals. If you or your friend in the mall would like to reach out to me directly I would be very interested to hear the details of your experience and see if we can turn it into a 5-star experience your next time in. Sincerely,Jason Bernstein ([email protected])
