Seven of us went for lunch. Calamari was the worst we've ever had. Garlic bread was colder than the Caesar salad. The 'special' beef dip - the bun was severely burnt. The chicken quesadilla was cold. The person eating the chicken quesadilla became violently ill a few hours after. Food poisoning? The only thing going for the place is the lucky beer is cold. Stop for a beer...don't eat the food!

Went for lunch here. Service was fast and efficient. We were seated on the outdoor patio and enjoyed a shady afternoon overlooking the golf course. Bring your camera - it's got some beautiful scenery. We watched two deer stroll across the greens. Lunch was delicious and fresh. All of us were very happy with our choices.

We enjoy this restaurant. The food at times is average and the service is slow but it makes up for some of this with the great views. They lack a consistency which would really improve their quality

This is at the upper end of the scale for golf club restaurants. Great for a beer and meal after 9 holes at Memorial, but it is also open to the public. Nice to sit out on the patio on a fine hot day. Food is typical pub-grubby stuff. Great Cod & Chips, and Pizzas are well prepared. My only criticism is that service tends to be a bit slow.Thank you very much for your review. We are working with our staff to correct the timing of the service.

We have been here many times, but now doubt we'll ever go back to eat. Last time we ate there, the ribs were awful. They tasted like they'd been kept warm for hours. Last night there were 5 of us, and only 1 person was satisfied with their meal. Comments from my party-- Fisherman's Pie was almost all mashed potatoes. Cobb Salad, had 3 prawns & scallops so tiny, you couldn't even see the scallops, and was almost all lettuce in bowl. The Prime Rib was laid on top of mashed potatoes that were luke warm, and beef was not that good. The Beef Dip juice was rather bland. I had to ask for my water twice, and waitress was not that busy. They had a good band playing, but we left early because they let one fellow get so drunk, he fell several times. They didn't stop serving him alcohol until we complained, when he fell and bumped into my arm with a broken wrist I just had surgery on. We were not impressed.It's to bad, because this place is on the ocean, and we used to take out of town visitors there to enjoy the view, and the food which used to be good.Dear, ReviewerYour comments are hard for us to read, as it sounds like your party was very let down by your time with us. No less, here we are, and of course we'll have to accept your impressions with respect, as you are entitled to not only your opinion, but also your freedom to choose where you go to have a good time.Within your review you mention having been many times in the past, and for that we are grateful.It is through many, many satisfied guests experiences that we have been granted the longevity we boast about regularly - as Qualicum Beach's oldest business at 95 years and counting.Of course, our long history of creating satisfied guests - as evidenced by a solid 4 out of 5 rating with over 900 reviews here on TripAdivsor - is not something we take for granted, and we really do try very hard to ensure we remain vigilant and always endeavour to satisfy our guests when they do in fact choose to join us.We plan to be here for a long time yet, and that, quite frankly, depends on our ability to avoid any situations like the one you describe in your review.Please accept our heartfelt apologies for the impression you left with after your last visit.We are not ok with letting you down - not one bit - but there's one thing about your review that I want to expend on - the intoxicated person you described.You see, we are extremely aware of our responsibility to ensure our patron's safety - both while in our care and after departing our establishment, and all of our service team must be certified in order to serve alcohol to our guests. Upon occasion, we can find ourselves responsible for an intoxicated person, whether that person arrived in that state, or became intoxicated while being served - the signs of intoxication having eluded detection until it was too late. One of my benchmarks is that if it's really busy it's likely to be very good to. This place didn't let me down. The staff were friendly and helpful and despite the crowds were on top of their game. Orders taken quickly and we we surprised at how quickly we were served. I had very good fish.. cod .. and chips. My friend said that the fish cakes she ordered were the best she had ever eaten ... high praise indeed.
