Wilson Trail

Did Section 1 of the Wilson Trail in two goes: first from Wong Nai Chung Reservoir to Tze Kong Bridge in September. Weather was sunny, hot about 30c and very humid. The start from the petrol station at the bus stop is not obvious. You need to head up Tai Tam R road & past Parkview then turn right where there is a sign Wilson Trail. Steady climb to Violet Hill then down to the saddle and the bridge. From here, take right turn (not clearly signposted) on a track that takes you to South Bay Close and a bus stop on Repulse Bay Road. Tackled Section 2 from Stanley Gap Road to the bridge in December. Weather much better for hiking. Better direction as you go down the 1,000 steps on The Twins rather than up. Be careful that you get the bus driver to stop at the Wilson Trail stop as ours roared straight through!

Repulse Bay Beach

Reviewed By KLJNJ

As part of our Hong Kong tour, we were told we'd be stopping at Repulse Bay. Not a very nice name for an absolutely beautiful spot! The sand was so white and fine, on the weekday we visited there the beach was nearly empty. Too bad we didn't know we were stopping at such a pretty beach - we would have brought swimsuits! The building on the beach had really clean bathrooms and a few little stores/restaurants.

Deep Water Bay

Reviewed By STELLA08Auckland - Auckland Central, New Zealand

We came here because Repulse Bay was too busy and spent a lovely afternoon. It had a good changing room/toilet block right on the beach. Couldn't believe how many lifeguards for such a little, sheltered bay. On the day we went, there were only about 4 other people swimming so that was very appealing. Went upstairs above the changing rooms to get a drink at the cafe - not sure what the food options are, but a nice cold beer was just the thing on such a hot day.

This park has lots to offer. It is spacious and nicely design. There is a running track and other courts. There are loads of flowers and trees. Within this park , there is a lingnam garden that Worth a visit. Very Chinese theme but tastefully done. There are also plenty of photo opportunities. Plenty of birds also. At this time of the year we can see autumn colours and many pretty flowers. Perfect place to sit and reflect, draw, read a book and enjoy the natural beauty of the place. Do give yourself a few hours here to explore.
