Cuas A'gamhna

Kerry hospitality at its finest, great location

My family & I stayed overnight as we had a boat trip out to Skellig rock the next morning. We were greeted with a warm welcome by Eileen who provided us with a wealth of information on what to see & do, B&B was spot on with the amenities & the breakfast was superb, five minute drive into town for dinner and location wise it's peaceful while being in a good position to venture around the island.

Spring Acre Bed & Breakfast

Spring Acre is a traditional B&B here in Valentia, an island famous for its tropical climate and plants. Being situated just a few metres from the sea, it allows our guests a spectacular view of the Harbour, in one of the most idyllic parts of the South West. Stroll along the Promenade and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of Valentia.

A Good Place On Valentia

Reviewed By Jim G

This was our first B & B experience since 1981 so you might say we are not B & B people but were willing to give it a try. Our room had one double and two twin beds and a separate bath with shower, just what we needed. The beds were comfortable and sleeping was restful. Mary, the proprietress, took our order for breakfast and answered our questions about local history along with suggestions about where to eat. She helped us link up with the relatives we were to meet later in the day. The view out the front window of the yard, harbor, ferry and green of the mainland is spectacular. I do recommend Spring Acre B & B for a visit to Valentia Island.

Wonderful stay here

We were fortunate enough to reserve a landing tour to Skellig Michael and then find this gem in Chapeltown. We were warmly received by our wonderful hostess (Derry) and treated to an afternoon cup of tea while checking in. Then after dinner, we enjoyed visiting with Derry and her other guests by a peat fire. Then after a great night's sleep Derry not only prepared our breakfast but also packed a light lunch for us to take on our landing tour. Great location on beautiful Valentia Island, great hospitality, can't recommend this wonderful B&B highly enough.
