Reviewed By Sherry RIf you cancel this room more than 24 hours before check in, you will be forced to pay for 1 nights accommodation. I called at 12:15 pm on November 19 to cancel a room that was booked for November 20. Even though this is more than 24 hours prior to check in, I was charged $104. Booking.com is not clear in their cancellation policy, which states, "You may cancel free of charge until 1 day before arrival. You will be charged the cost of the first night if you cancel within 1 day before arrival." The hotel policies state: Check-in time starts at 2 PM. Check-in time ends at 11:00 PM. Calling at 12:15 pm prior to a 2 pm check in the following day clearly should fit within the day's cancellation timeline. Booking.com informed me that this one night fee is left to the discretion of the hotel owner, and they were not willing to waive the $104. So I have now paid for one night's accommodation without actually having a room for that night. I will not choose to stay at the St. Paul Lodge in the future and am also unlikely to book through booking.com. Too many loops holes!!!

Reviewed By jessmR4018LMWe stayed in Canalta St. Paul for a conference, the hotel staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The manager Cindy was amazing in helping me book the rooms and conference space. The hotel is clean, with spacious rooms and lots of amenities such as a pool with a water slide and a hot tub. There is a fitness room and a games room. The conference room was spacious and had the necessary equipment to help connect our laptops to the projector. I would host a conference here again.

Reviewed By andreawZ824JVRoom was very clean and new. Staff was pleasant, polite, friendly. Pool area was warm and clean. Pool water was comfortably warm. General manager James was very welcoming. We will go again as soon as possible.

Reviewed By Brad FThe local Super 8 was full, so my company booked this location instead. To say it's dated is to put it mildly. They still use handwritten receipts. Decor out of the 70's and peeling paint and random stylized plumbing and electrical fixtures are the norm. It did have plenty of hot water however. They had basic cable only, but no wifi available at all.

We are totally prepared for you staying in St. Paul, Alberta for a business trip or travel. We offer Free Hot breakfast with sausages, scrambled eggs, potatoes, fresh juice, milk, coffee, tea, fresh fruits, boiled eggs, cereals, muffins and toasts from 6 to 9 a.M. Every morning in the restaurant. And our guests can enjoy high speed internet with Wi-fi connection in the room for free of charges. All of the guest rooms have been recently renovated with newer bed, hardwood flooring, flat-screen TV, air-conditioner, refrigerator and microwave, and some of our guest rooms including Family room, Triple room and other rooms with Kitchenette are designed to meet the needs of long-term workers and family.

Reviewed By Howard WThis older place has experienced a partial update renovation however it is as other reviews reflect it is not worth the charged price.I'm being kind giving it 2 stars. This is not a restaurant facility; only breakfast and don't eat the sausage.
