Ferme 5 Etoiles

Only 15 minutes from Tadoussac, this holiday resort located on a family farm is known for its many species of animals, such as buffalo, wolves, moose; its natural environment over 700 acres facing the magnificent Fjord of Saguenay; the wide range of accommodations such as camping, yurt, teepee, motel, chalet; its country table; and four-season activities such as sea-kayaking, quad, biking, horse riding, dog sledding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and the only sugar shack in the region.

Needs improvement

Reviewed By anectine

We lodged on the site, near the pool. The unit of two rooms was clean but lots of things are just needing care. The screens are falling down in the unit so the flies ,and there are a lot, are everywhere. The furniture is old and need to be replaced. Toiletries and towels are very basic. But really the worst is the wild animals they keep in too small cages. Wolves, lynx, deers, ducks they look really miserable and stressed in their too small quarters. That broke the heart of our whole family. We won’t be back.

Nicely decorated... but... loud, dark, no breakfast, fail on tea/coffee

Reviewed By LastMW

The hotel is nicely decorated, but... The walls are paper thin and there is a lot of road noise. They have turned off the light on the stairs... bring a flashlight. They supplied coffee & a coffee maker... but not filters that fit it, bring your own. They supplied tea... but no kettle. I really expected breakfast to be included, from the photos on the booking site. Afterwards I saw on their mobile site that there is none -- I'd been linked directly to the booking site from another website of the same company, so did not see that. My bad for not checking, but they should remove the photos of their breakfast if there is none -- stop advertising it if you aren't providing it.

Quaint, Nature, good price/quality

This was a lovely B&B. A jacuzi in the middle of the forest. An area to BBQ and a kitchen to cook in or prepare your breakfast. Area is beautiful and they were very helpful and welcoming. Great for kids.

Cleanliness at the limit, small damp room...

Reviewed By Dodo_Travel

We've stayed for several nights. Very small room in the basement, with private bathroom. No place/space and no chair for clothes. Agreeable family /entertainment room with TV on the main floor, wifi problematic in some areas. There is a common area with fridge, microwave and table/chairs, but with no window and no natural light. The air conditioner and microwave cannot be on in the same time as the electric fuse will blow out and the fuse box it is in someone's room, so you'll have wait to get it back. The backyard has an outdoor fireplace and some outdoor chairs with a table, and is lit up at night, but there is some cable/construction stuff that gives it an industrial, unkept feel, like being in a factory backyard. We've stayed in many bed&breakfast places in Quebec and elsewhere, but this one is not up to the definition. The decoration is quite unfortunate, no style and no taste, furnished with seemingly second hand not matching things; the bathroom and room very, very basic and small. There was an envelope for tipping the maid, but I'm not sure why, as there was no service at all. The owner is a very nice lady, helpful with providing information about the area. Breakfast substantial, for an additional 6$/person. What makes us give the low rating though is the cleanliness, which is at the limit, and the dampness of the room. We were not allowed to open the window (in the summer) because of the morning dew that would condense. There was a fan to move the air, but the whole atmosphere and sleep quality was not good. When we opened the luggage at home, everything in it had a very bad smell. The price is too high for the overall comfort and for a place appointed more like a motel for truckers. I would not recommend it for vacation.

Club de Chasse et Peche Tadoussac

To only 8 km of Tadoussac, we welcome you in one of our 10 chalets, classified 4 stars, equipped in the electricity and situated on the edge of a lake. The beauty of the landscapes, the tranquility of the forest and the smell of the undergrowth will make you the intense stress of the hectic life and the city forget. Come to observe the plentiful fauna, in its natural environment.

Auberge was on their own lake and provided kayaks and other water toys.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and very comfortable. There was a kitchen on premises with everything you might need to cook and store your food. Breakfast included. Cereal, toast, muffins, croissant, hard boiled eggs and everything else you need to go with this. Great coffee too.

All the thing was good in Hotel-Motel Coronet. The room was good with a nice balcony. The staff was friendly and responsible. I missed my key there and they send immediately. It is a good choice for a stop-and-go.
