Reviewed By DeeinperthThis is absolutely the best place we have stayed in Slovenia. Quiet village, idyllic setting, friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful hosts. The food almost defies description, home produced meats, charcuterie, vegetables, eggs. Amazing meals served in the evenings and home made desserts that are out of this world. We enjoyed our stay immensely and hope we can go back one day. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Lovely location, very friendly owners
Reviewed By Paul GWe stayed here for three nights, and we'd happily have stayed for longer if we could have done. The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful. The accommodation is spotless, and the rural location is lovely. An honesty box system is used for purchasing drinks, with 24 hour tea and coffee provided for free. We visited the Pistonja Caves, the Skocjan Caves and the Museum of Military History from here (with a hire car) - and could have done much more if we'd stayed, so it's a great base for those sorts of places. The highlight was a trip to view bears, led by one of the owners - it was fantastic!

Reviewed By slodanLocation is very peaceful and tranquil – there is no through traffic and for hikers, there are many routes into the forest and around Pivka's unique disappearing lakes, (these are lakes which appear in the Winter and disappear in the Summer) They can also organize guided tours from one hour up to complete day trips.

A warm welcome in a charming place !
Reviewed By JulieP5144We really much enjoyed staying with our family in the B&B Spelca. The hosts were discrete and supportive, the appartement and rooms clean and comfortable. We had the chance to have a dinner cooked by the host and his wife, this was really delicious ! Also don’t leave them without having their royal breakfast. A great address that we fully recommend.

Reviewed By Maaike24While this wasn't the best pizza ever, it was quite good and we had a good meal here. Friendly service and excellent value for money. The room was clean and tidy with free wi-fi. Rooms are big enough and furniture is new. If you are staying in the area it is definitelly worthwhile trying out! Service is fast and excellent.
