Would never have found this if we hadn't been recommended by locals. We were staying in the Ibis hotel and this is a short walk from here and not far at all from the centre, a short walk also. It is accessed by a corridor through a building and looks to have been a courtyard that is now canopied over, often open to the sky, with a large tree growing through it! Something different. It has a menu outside in Macedonia and english and that uis a refreshing change. You can see the menu and the prices without anybody hassling you. The prices are very reasonable for Skopje, cheaper than the centre and very cheap compared to European prices. We went in once as a couple, another night as four, another night as six. They were happy to have any size of party and two nights we were in they had tables together to accommodate office workers in a party of maybe 20. There is a large range and a few of us went here on several nights we were there so tried many different dishes. Everybody was pleased. Even me, with a very plain diet, they were happy to give me the food as I wanted. When we were in a bigger group, sometimes dishes came out at different times. I suspect the kitchen is quite small. Would definitely go back here when I am back in Skopje.

In Bohemian street (longer one, officially Zhivko Chingo, but not many taxi drivers in Skopje know street names) there are lot of restaurants but it seems two of them located on two sides of the street and facing each other are having the biggest turnover. At a time of our visit in July for three nights in a row these two restaurants were full, with people leaving half past midnight even restaurants should be closed by midnight, if I understood well. Both have live music every night (violin, guitar, double bass, accordion) and choice of songs is from evergreens for the beginning to local mainly folk or folkish music (local would be the whole of the former Yugoslavia, but many Macedonian songs) where the all members of the band sing. Not to everyone's taste but the band was comprised of very good musicians. I can understand that in such a big restaurant service is sometimes slow, we however did not encounter such problems but we came much later than the others and started ordering food only around 10.00 PM. Menu offers a large selection of meals. I always suggest to go for something local and the best way to start is with zucchini chips, sheep cheese and sheep cheese from grill, a set with ajvar, beans and vegetable relish and eventually a salad. usually starters themselves would be enough for a lunch or dinner. Meat dishes, from grill, were also excellent. For lovers of stronger stuff, Zolta, a yellow colored grappa, is a great choice and they also offer plenty of Macedonian wines.

My friend from tourism sector offered me to taste the dishes here. Normally I check the recommendations by looking the food and environment of the restaurants to decide. But food photos are more important for me. When I saw the environment I really thought NO not this place, it is so touristic but, plates and foods YES, exactly this is the place what I look for local dishes and I was right. I was looking shirden and find here. It was delicious. We cook shirden (it is a part of the sheep stomach filled with rice and minced meat) in Turkey but here a little bit different but so tasty. Amazing food One of the must visit places for grill lovers. We've heard this place offers great food and we were not disappointed. Staff was really helpful and with great welcome.
