Hesse (/ˈhɛsə/) or Hessia (German: Hessen [ˈhɛsn̩], Hessian dialect: Hesse [ˈhɛzə]) is a federal state (Land) of the Federal Republic of Germany, with just over six million inhabitants. The state capital is Wiesbaden; the largest city is Frankfurt am Main. We were stunned by visiting this impressive building. The Kurhaus Wiesbaden, a cure house as it means, built in 1907, is a place of marvelous historic architecture and state-of-the-art comfort, the perfect blend of relaxation, experience, beauty, and functionality. Since its inauguration, it has been a center of social events in the city. With its twelve magnificent halls and salons, it offers the ideal venue for galas, seminars, conferences, and congresses. It has also been used for filming TV series and movies. The neoclassical architecture houses a convention center and a casino. The building is divided into two equal-sized wings. In the south wing there is a large central pillar-lined concert hall. The north wing houses the smaller ballroom, a restaurant, and the main portion of the Casino, or Spielbank, which offers roulette, blackjack, and poker. During the 1980s, the Kurhaus underwent an extensive renovation and was equipped with modern conference technology. A landmark of an elegant city, it is surrounded by a lot of green, and splendid historical buildings. A complex of 12 rooms and parlors of varying size and style, several restaurants and the Casino, all assembled under one roof. For me, this has a significant status – my son Wasif Sagri attended his graduation ceremony at this splendid convention center on completion of his MBA in International Business Administration.

There is action every day. 80 EUR Tournaments Sunday through Thursday. Cash game only on weekends. The offer NLTH 2/4 and 5/20. PLO 5/5, 5/10, 10/20. The level is rather high, don't expect to see too many weak players. There are many regulars also. One thing that makes the room very attractive is the uniquely low rake. At the 2/4 table it is 2 EUR (yes, ony two) per hand, no matter how high the pot, and only if the pot gets higher than 50 EUR.
