Things to do in Hubbards
I hope I did not put my review under the wrong category but if you look under the Daphinee Inn dining room I reviewed the Tuna Blue bar and Grill. if I made a mistake I I do apologize. The Tuna Blue Bar and Grill is one of the worst places that I've ever eaten I do not recommend.
Cute espresso bar and coffee house with delicious sweets baked in house and grilled breakfast and lunch paninis.
We popped into Hubbards Cove Coffee shop on our drive back from Peggy's Cove to grab a coffee and a sweet treat. We were greeted warmly and received our order which consisted of yummy coffee and the tastiest ginger cookies ever! The Ginger cookies along with all of the cookies were homemade in the kitchen attached to the restaurant! It was fun to watch them prepare the cookies.

We ate at the Dauphinee Inn while staying at the nearby Hubbards Beach cottages. It has a beautiful location with terrace overlooking the harbour, perfect spot to watch the sunset while you eat. Food was good and plentiful, with local fish & seafood. Service friendly and unhurried even though we were just about last to leave and a large group that clearly over-taxed the kitchen. Recommended if you are in the area.

Had supper at this small restaurant which is located in a plaza behind the Irving gas station in town. The restaurant is small but very busy. They were doing a very brisk business with walk-in pizzas. There are about a dozen tables in the restaurant itself and they were all busy. We had the lasagna and the western sandwich. Both were very good - hot, freshly made, and very tasty. Service was good, but due to the volume of business, a bit slow in delivering the food. In fairness, the waitress warned us in advance they were so busy we would have a 10 minute wait for the food. But it was worth waiting for. The spot is very popular with the locals and I can see why. Good food at a great price and all home made.

This apparently is the best place to eat in this area. So we went. It's nothing fancy for sure. We both ordered the lobster linguini. It was nothing special except the price was high. The service was just ok. Would look for an alternative next time.
